How are some people blaming Eccles for that 😂 you have to try and block shots ffs it was just a fluke thing that happens occasionally but a lot more would go in if you let every ball fly past you without trying to block it / deflect wide.

I know our defence has been dreadful but if you could give me 1 loan it would be a creative AM. None of Sheaf, Eccles, Torp, Rudoni or Allen ever get the ball and make you think ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen here’. I’d love someone to just be able to run past someone, drop a shoulder...

All I know is Tavares made no impact today. How many more chances is going to get 😡

Like the front three. Personally would rather have Eccles in the midfield and obviously Collins is a forever worry for me but overall pretty positive team.

To be fair, we made money on Chaplin and then used his fee to buy Godden who got us promoted and went on to be one of our record goalscorers of all time (5th). Selling Chaplin for Godden was good business for the way we played.

That’s my worry with Simms. Imagine being a striker who’s just won a penalty and then let’s someone else take it. That’s what sets players like Gyokeres apart, he’s grabbing that ball and there is no one that can stop him. Simms needs some of that attitude.

My point is that this same squad (minus O’Hare, Kelly and Godden) finished 9th and an FA Cup final last season. I’m just saying that I think that was an overachievement based on those players… irrespective of how any new players that have come in since are performing (a random irrelevant point)...

I said largely the same squad. The only regular first team players we lost between the seasons were O’Hare, Godden and Kelly. They were all injured for large spells last season too so yeah it’s largely the same squad (plus additions!)

I just posted something similar on the match thread. We didn’t seem to have the usual “fresh start / impress manager” energy or body language. I honestly think of all the amazing season Robins had, getting largely this same squad to a 9th place finish and FA cup final was his greatest...

Lucky point really but we’ll take it. What worries me most is the players attitudes. Was a million miles off the usual “must impress new manager” energy / body language. We have some winnable games coming up, hopefully a couple of wins and some confidence can change things. PUSB

One thing I always say to my mates at Half time is how I can’t understand why the subs aren’t in the changing room at half time. Surely hearing the tactics is more beneficial than doing some keepy ups. Can warm up during the match (unless coming on at half time)

They’re my most hated club for mostly irrational reasons. I think it stemmed from their fans doing pro-sisu songs during some protests years ago when most other fans realised our struggles and united with us in some protests. I really can’t stand Wilder either, he really does love himself but...
