Doesn’t seem a great solution that 1 in 5 children, and rising, has to go to private school. Although the stats don’t seem to back that up. The percentage of SEND kids in public and private education seems to be roughly the same. And I’m sure the parents of non-SEND kids aren’t going to be too...

Wonder how many people actually watched Vylans set. I would expect iPlayer wasn’t exactly creaking at the seams trying to cope with the number of viewers. At some point people might learn not to rush to social media and these things would pass by with hardly anyone noticing. Also, what did he...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

well yes, I'm not saying autism didn't exist. but, in my school at least, there was one or two 'unruly' children per class. Now from what stats I can find, in the TES, we're now looking at 1 in 5 kids and its rising by about 100K a year, far faster than the rise in the school age population...

Obviously learnt nothing from Kneecap. Expect Vylan will be moving to playing larger venues now.

You pretty much can't tour without Ticketmaster these days, especially in the US. Pearl Jam tried it years ago and found it near impossible and the situation is way worse now in terms of the Ticketmaster monopoly. They did donate millions from ticket sales to charities in the cities they played.

this thread is like when you see a post from Rage Against the Machine and the replies are Americans saying they aren't going to listen anymore because they've suddenly gone political

Stalls O23, excellent view. It's not a huge theatre tbh so you'll get a good view from anywhere. Might be worth just trying for tickets on the day. It's been on a while now so I don't think many performances are total sell outs. I went Saturday afternoon and it was full but not sold out.

Facebook is completely un-useable now. Entire feed filled with random shit the algorithm has decided you want to see rather than the actual things you follow. Their usage stats must be way down. Few years back I'd be checking it multiple times a day. Now it's once a day max, quick scroll, see...

I get that, and that's obviously a good thing. But has the needle gone too far in the other direction? When I was at school in the 80s there was zero pupils with any kind of autism or anything else that required special arrangements. Now thats obviously unlikely but could it be equally unlikely...

Some people need to read up on the Streisand effect. They were playing to the proverbial 2 men and a dog not long back now they're getting fucking huge crowds at Glastonbury and other festivals and headlining Wembley.

Not film or TV but just got on the train home after seeing My Neighbour Totoro at the theatre. Absolutely stunning. Would recommend for anyone but if you’ve got kids and want to hook them on theatre take them to this. Only problem being they will probably never see anything this good again.

In London and just seen some Reform / Tommy Robinson protest go past. Small in number but it made me laugh that they had signs about Starmer being a communist 😂 Probably explains why I saw some random guy in a union flag shirt kicking off with a copper when I went to breakfast.

    Vinyl!

Congratulations, it’s an amazing feeling holding something you’re responsible for. Never been in that position as an artist, I have zero talent, but have worked in various capacities on other things and you’re always waiting for the day you get to hold the physical product.

I get that there’s loads of big jobs and they prefer those but just say that. Don’t say you’ll come and quote then no show, or quote and then not respond again, or agree to start and not turn up. The only people I’ve managed to find who are in any way reliable is a plumbing company. Not a...

The stress I had when I need loads of work done unexpectedly when I moved into my new place. Supposedly reputable workmen who I’d had personal recommendations for turned out to be a nightmare. And you just get completely ignored when you point out any problems with work done and ask for it to be...

What’s the breakdown for % of income paid in tax as you move up the income scale? Sure that data must exist somewhere. Although to get the full picture you need to factor in things like VAT which may be tricky
