This is a lower score if all of the existing City defenders this season. This doesn’t make him a worse player but it does indicate he’s not having an outstanding season.

His Who Scored Average rating for this season is 7.08 which reflects the fact he’s a good player but has not been outstanding this season so far ….

I don’t think that’s the case at all.

Hughes form has been wildly inconsistent this season. He’s their standout player one match and guilty of over playing and sloppiness the next. Hull have been conceding too many chances all season. He has been injured but he was partly benched last night due to his form.

But your not suggesting Barkley your suggesting a player that has had one good half season in 4-5 years.

The last thing we need is a player living off his past reputation who no longer takes his football seriously.

One is guaranteed the other is highly probable. However it’s also highly probable that Brentford will still be a Premier League club for the next few seasons, the same cannot be said for who ever gets promoted from the championship.

The idea that Thomas would have no interest in Brentford is incredibly optimistic. They would triple his wages, offer him a 4 year deal and his family would be set for life. I don’t think he is looking to leave but if a very compelling offer gets put to his agent you might see his view change...
