    Waghorn

I still believe. The facts are that it hasn’t worked out for Max in whatever set up he plays now, but he did ok for us as a backup. Wr couldn’t afford to sign more players when we need / should do because Waghorn has soaked budget. You believe whatever you want, which is clearly that Waghorn...

    Waghorn

I know I’m going to get pellets for this but I’ll say it anyway: I said at the time I thought him a bad signing and with the wage budget he soaks up we could have signed another player and kept Max. Someone posted a video of Walker’s goals yesterday on here and Max was there holding off...

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

I’ve said the same previously. Not mentioned £100m of hard cash. Pay better attention. They’ve (SISU) invested some cash, converted the GR debt and other debt to shares to keep the golden share. It was conditional I believe. Now. The clear point is that they’ve has to show ROI so their...

    Dear Boris

Dear Boris Johnson, If you seize the assets of Russian oligarchs in the U.K. can we get to keep JCS and Maatsen please. Signed. SISU. We are Finns not Russians. (Satire. I think)

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

I think, weirdly, that SISU more likely has to. They are a hedge fund that controls the investments of other institutions / individuals. So long as the investments “yield a return” on paper then all is well, hence the “£2m” in interest. At the moment, SISU are showing an investment asset of...

    Next seasons budget and priorities

Weren’t the facilities that Overson paid for portable? (Can’t remember) Will they be moved to the Uni? Makes sense I guess in the long run.

Moore 8 Some vital saves and quick off his line to break up threats. Kane 5 I don’t know if he’s fully fit but this was a bad day at the office. Some shocking passing and his crossing wasn’t great. Hyam 8 Unlucky not to score. I think he’s one of the most improved players at the club this...

Bound to happen. Their strategy after half time is to win free kicks and corners against our wing backs.

    Unattached Players

Does he live local? If so he’s the type of player you’d allow to train with us to keep fit whilst he tries to find another club. He has experience to pass on and in an emergency could sign short term. Hear me out: 32 + year old experienced pros are crucial to have around to mentor the...

    Unattached Players

Any of the sleuths on here know of any unattached players that may be able to do a job? Jack Wilshere types without a club that might do some kind of pay as you play? What happened to Andre Wisdom? Diego Costa as a far fetched idea?

Cardiff City v Coventry City Song Review

Don’t give it a rest. Keep going. Great effort and you produce these quicker than Bidwell produces a cross.

Agree with most of that. Bringing in JCS meant we were stronger on left of defence. Shipley could have gone to LM / LWB, Waghorn to keep bench warm, Maatsen in Shipley’s original role. Maatsen offers pace and movement and the ability to get to the byline and / or cut in and cross / shoot...

I saw it totally differently. Bidwell was at fault for the second goal. Got nowhere near his man, no urgency to try to get a block in and the game is therefore over. His movement off the ball offered little outlet, no pace for balls over the top, most passes he received in the top half ended...

IMO that Bidwell performance was pathetic and he showed himself up. Didn’t try to race back for second goal. No impact going forward and tracked backwards slower than the Russian troops on the Ukrainian border. He was poor. He gets a poor mark.

    The Shipley Bid

Bid for Shipley? Someone bid for him and MR called back to base. “Someone’s bid well for Ships, get it sorted, I’m on holiday in my onesie” Must have been a bad line, Imagine when MR got back and saw we’d got Bidwell, who’s shit, from Swansea.
