Match Thread Barnet - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 7th Oct

At least two good things came from today’s game, firstly the new song for Doyle and Kelly to the tune of Earth, Wind and Fire’s September; Ay a ay we’ve got Michael Doyle Ay a ay with Kelly in the middle Ay a ay they never give the ball away.. 1, 2, 3, 4.. And for Jordan Willis and Rod...

Feed the Duck and he will score* *Would he prefer crosses into the box or a loaf bread before the game?

Whoes the gay boy in the pink?

Slightly off topic, talking about what the fans sing and chant, what is everyone's opinion of our support home and away nowadays? Let me know if you think we can improve the support in a certain way and I'll try to filter it to the vocal supporters so they have an idea of what it would take for...

Match Thread Coventry City - Exeter City Match Thread - Saturday 23rd Sep

Exeter are better on the attack than they're defending, can't see Tis setting up to defend at the Ricoh as it don't suit them. 3-1 to the Sky Blues :)

Whoes the gay boy in the pink?

If you're referring to the hompophobic chanting then I am inclined to agree, but if you're referring to my original quote then I disagree, the keeper (Richard Lee - I think?) was quite receptive to it and as I said applauded the City fans after the game. I've done this several times before and...

Whoes the gay boy in the pink?

Re the OP, 20 years ago you would have got away with this kind of chant, nowadays in this day and age you can't really sing something like that due to the public pressure to eradicate these types of concerns. Times change as does society and therefore it's not really acceptable (in my view)...

Whoes the gay boy in the pink?

Here in lies the problem with the atmosphere away from home and at the Ricoh, the Younger fans are wanting to try new things to try and get an atmosphere going in the souless bowl of the Ricoh and away from home, but it's constantly criticised and usually by the older generation of supporters...

    More links with CRFC

No fella, that's not good in any sense of the idea.

Jordan Thompson loaned out to Barrow AFC

Couldn't agree more with you @SlowerThanPlatt, Thompson is a very good defender and also very comfortable with the ball at his feet, a similar defender to Jordan Willis in terms of his athleticism. With experience Thompson and Ford will be very good centre backs for this Club, both part of the...

    Coventry Telegraph

What makes me laugh about this is they approached CCFC for comment, yet shouldn't the CT be approaching the people who employ and dictate the rules to the Stewards, i.e Wasps/ACL.. :banghead:

    Coventry Telegraph

There in lies the problem, not so much yourself because you don't live in Cov, but people who were brought up in the City and live here disregard the impact and Cov Rugby for the Wasps, due to what the Council did in bringing them here. While it is imperative that SISU leave it should never...

    Charlie McCann

A lot of very promising young players coming through the CCFC academy, but the Charlie McCann transfer epitomises Football today, where the big clubs like United and Chelsea will poach the young talent from the lower leagues and stockpile them in the U23's set up and only the top grade players...

    Coventry Telegraph

Without trying to be abrupt, are you mad Oucho? You were pleased when the Council sold the Ricoh to a Franchise Rugby Club that has come in and stolen whatever spotlight and support there was for the City's own Rugby Club? Take SISU and CCFC aside for a moment, but to be "pleased" at any move...

    Andreu's injury

It's a horrible injury, I ruptured mine 7 years ago and my knee has never been the same since. Got to feel for Andreu, looked a decent player and this is a blow for CCFC.

    Steps removed. SISU and CCFC.

The Bat signal was put out for all posters from pre-2013 to gather, so what I have missed and is Mary_Mungo_Midge here??

    An Evening with Kevin Keegan'

Don't get me wrong I love the idea, but Kevin Keegan (really?). Maybe it's just me as a Youngster, but I can't see how this will excite Cov fans, it would have been better if it would have been a night with Robbie Keane or an ex player/manager.
