Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 17th Feb

Nothing wrong with that line up considering who is available. Godden hasn't done enough recently and having him or Palmer on the pitch would probably mean moving Haji from his most effective position. Might as well give Tavares a shot or what's the point of keeping him around.

    Jay DaSilva Signs!

I thought he did well on the left wing last night. Certainly decent cover in a position we are light in.

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

Yep exactly this, Hamer was that player last season. We have missed someone who can spot an opportunity to spring an attack early. I'm so glad Torp has hit the floor running as I think he is the key to getting whoever plays the No 9 position involved

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 17th Feb

Would doubt it's fatigue for Torp, he had a month or so off before joining. Probably more getting up with the pace of the Championship and conditioning to build his stamina, I'd say he should play a part in the upcoming games. He has been excellent so far and is pretty much the only player we...

Match Thread Plymouth (A)- Wednesday 14th Feb

Simms has been fine, nothing less nothing more. Some handy hold up play skyed a half chance. Got to stick with him as I think his confidence is shot as it is. I'd be tempted to give it 10 mins then if we don't break through I'd put on Tats for Godden and move Simms through the centre

Match Thread Plymouth (A)- Wednesday 14th Feb

I can see why we'd try Dasilva higher up, we're so short in that position (excuse the pun). Millwall did pump balls over him for the first 30 mins on Sunday, so Bidwell offers a bit more protection. He was decent going forward the last two matches and he is a fine defender 1on1 so may be good...

    Wright - Simms - Sakamoto

Just fecking play Simms who we paid good money for! Palmer is good but now ist the time for experimenting. Clearly a player in there just woefully unconfident. Might as well give him time to play into form whilst the other attackers, Wright, Tats and O'Hare are in form and playing well.

    Wright - Simms - Sakamoto

So play Wright out of his most effective position.

Who then? Nobody looks good in that top spot. It can't be a coincidence.

Transfer Rumour Trialist in U21 game

Doubt it is him but I assumed Helder Costa was older than 30. Cost Leeds 15m and was only released in October. Loans in Saudi and Valencia last 2 seasons. Did he get a long term injury or something?

    Wright - Simms - Sakamoto

Goals will come for Simms. Trouble is we just don't set up to play balls through to a central striker as we did last season. Everyone has struggled there, but it doesn't really matter when the other attackers are taking players on and scoring themselves. As mentioned Simms puts in a shift...

This is the set up. Haji way better with space to run into. Simms worries defences.
