Not necessarily. I doubt we’ll go above 50% capacity this season. If that’s the case, we won’t really be impacted as much as clubs who operate toward 70-100% capacity consistently. Clubs like Forest, Derby and so on. Last season we would get around 25-30% capacity of SA. Similar to the touted...

I like Biamou, he had some good cameos last season and certainly kicked on from his L2 days. But, the Championship is likely a step up too far for him. Gooden and Walker are the two obvious starting caliber strikers, and Baka has looked good in preseason. Where does Biamou fit in?

I doubt that because we’ve had approximately a £6m windfall from promotion alone.

There’s no way we have a smaller budget than Wycombe and he said we’d have the ‘smallest budget bar none’ and said even with Wycombe promoted. It’s a smart move, and it manages expectations of him and the team. In the market, fees always inflate a little when a team gets a windfall from a sale.

That’s Biamou finished here then. As soon as Robins falls out with a player, it’s game over. Only Kastaneer may actually manage to wriggle back into the mix.

I don’t think it’s outrageous. With our shape, we could feasibly play with a slightly more attacking WB like Jobello, Kasta, Hilßner (and so on). It’s not that uncommon. Obviously, they need to have the work rate and to not be a hopeless defender.

Eisa had 13 in Jan too, so in nearly 2 months added 1 goal to his tally.

Probably a combination of those factors. A lot of Championship clubs are stretching their resources very thinly and the loss of ticket sales is huge. What is perplexing is that Grabban is 32-33, so I’m surprised to see Forest let go a young talent, who seems to be a natural successor. Either...

How many pens did he score v how many pens Toney scored?

If Dabo is only missing for a handful of games, you’re right, it probably isn’t worth spending budget on such a move. The highest priority now, I’d say is addressing this CM slot(s).

Have you considered we may try 3-4-3 in some games? In the same way we’d switch to 3-4-1-2 when chasing a winner/equaliser. Last season, the 3-4-2-1 shape with the ‘box’ came about because we had no strikers nor wingers available.

I’m happy Forest recalled Walker because had he scored 20-25 goals, there’s no way we’re getting him for less than £1m. Toney had a great season in an attacking team, and at the minute is most likely the better striker than Walker. But, Walker is a year younger, and scored a lot of L1 goals for...

I’m happy with RWB if DaCosta isn’t sidelined for the whole season. If it’s an ACL, we could do with a loanee coming in. I like Mason too, but he’s more of a traditional LB, and Robins probably wants a more attacking WB. I’m not 100% sure on the timescales of our players returning.

I may have missed something, but is Dabo going to be fit for the season start? With DaCosta, he’s got a knee ligament injury, is it an ACL or MCL? The latter would have him out for about 6-8 weeks, and we all know what ACLs are like... Pask is a good, but probably not a long term solution if we...

In our circumstances, there isn’t going to be many better options on the market for us. Prolific in the lower leagues, a few Championship goals and is 23 years old. Early stages, there’s a lot to like about this transfer.

We need to have a strong core of 18-21 players to compete, different options and strength in depth to cover injuries. Frankly, we need to address the WB slots. Probably still need a permanent option at LWB, definitely need cover at RWB too. CM is still a need, someone like Sheaf is what we...

Just realised that Tyler Walker was 1 goal behind Toney in January. Toney went on to finish very strongly in a free-scoring P’boro side. But, given that P’boro want £5-10m for Toney, we’ve got a striker who is very good value for money, in my opinion. Does anyone have an idea of what we paid...

    Mid Table finish?

We’ve got a few things going for us, so I think we may survive this season. I’d live for us to be mid table, but a lot of promoted teams have struggled with the step up. That said, around the bottom of the table there is a lot of dysfunctional teams. In the end, I’d take anything above 22nd!

Agreed. But, I’m happy to have both strikers! They could make a good pairing because, as you say, you have Walker’s athleticism mixed with Gooden’s good positioning.

    This years 'wildcard'

You’re right. Today, Walker and Gooden are our top two choices this year. Baka looks like he’s got a bit more about him this preseason. It’s also probably his last year to prove himself to be worthy of a new contract. I’d like for him to out and perform really well this year.
