The Curious Case of Jordy Hiwula

Confidence player (possibly a bit of attitude as well) but again he doesnt really fit into our current system. Shipley and Westbrooke work their arses off behind Godden, up and down the pitch, Hiwula just isn’t that type of player shame as he’s got some ability

    Police

Spot on. I met some blues mates in Henesseys pre match (kept my allegiances to myself !!!) and walked up with them, there was a few wrong uns around but didn’t see any trouble. After the game I was in the Old Crown and then a couple of other places in Digbeth as I live in Birmingham...there were...

Not sure if it’s been mentioned previously but Killer Inside: The mind of Aron Hernandez (netflix) is well worth a watch

    New Labour Leader

agreed and having the ability to flex your ideology to suit the wider population...something momentum appear unwilling to do. I’d go even further and suggest their ‘if you don’t agree with us you’re Tory scum’ might’ve actually put a few people off as well !

    Blues Game

Anyone know what the capacity with current segregation, will be ? Should be a decent earner (and should’ve been on tv - glad it’s 3pm Saturday though)

    Blues Game

Yeah think you’re right Gary. I’ve got a couple of mates who are blues fans (season tickets), one was 111th in the phone queue earlier !

    New Labour Leader

I think this is a little unfair. I might be wrong but I read recently that there are now 85% of schools rated as good or outstanding, up from late 60s/early 70% from memory I’m not a massive fan of simplistic stats and I also appreciate the pressure on schools/teachers (especially with...

    90s football podcast

Apologies if someone’s posted this before but a mate messaged me yesterday recommending a listen (and thought a few on here might like).... ‘Start with this one, it’s Tom Davis (Murder in Successville and King Gary) on about West Ham in the 90’s ‎Quickly Kevin; will he score? The 90s Football...

    New Labour Leader

I think there’s going to be a cabinet reshuffle late Feb and budget shortly after, that should give a fair idea about the direction of travel. I lean towards Trenchs view....anyone opposite Corbyn is going to appear far right, but in reality, the manifesto and spending pledges are anything but.

    Working to Become Financially Independent

As I say, I want the licence fee to remain (as it will die without it). It’s in their hands though !

    Working to Become Financially Independent

Agree with some of that mate ie cutting back on non core areas. I also think that if the licence fee is abolished they’re done so ideally they’ll be able to up their game to the extent that people are happy enough continuing to pay it (and there isn’t a groundswell for its abolition)

    Working to Become Financially Independent

I also value it and would be disappointed to see it disappear but you have to remember they do get £3.5bn-£4bn pa and income from sale/leasing of programmes. Surely that’s enough to deliver the news, core services and some great programming, we have all appreciated over the years ? You can...

    New Labour Leader

The investment in infrastructure etc can (and will) be undertaken, (partially by the state, without offering free broadband for all. If I’d have been the Tories I’d have jumped on the policy and said it’s a tax cut for the rich and business (who quite happily pay for broadband already), that’s...

    New Labour Leader

I think many on here agree with a number of the labour policies (many don’t dramatically differ from the Tories), however, the combination of the ideological basis of some of them (far reaching uncosted nationalisation inc free broadband - ridiculous), combined with Corbyn and Brexit was too...

    New Labour Leader

I wonder what the people polled want in relation to the tax policy then ?!! (If they want labour to change course) Id question the clarity of the questions. If it’s ‘do you want to Nationalise a certain industry’ that’s one thing. If it’s ‘do you want to nationalise a certain industry but it’s...
