Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 7th Dec

Haji Wright’s injury was a blow for us but the upside is that it has given EMC a run in the team and this has been good for him. When HW is fit again I would like to see them both starting. That probably means Haji playing as a central striker, either on his own or as one of a pair.

Frank Lampard’s Coventry City unbeaten under new head coach. 👍

Not a great half of football but on a more optimistic note it’s nice to see Sakamoto getting back to something like his best 👍

Unless Torp and Rudoni swap positions from those predicted by the BBC. We will soon know.

I will only predict the certain part of the score: Millwall 2 Sky Blues ? It’s looking like a win or a draw. Unless we lose ☹️

I was disappointed for him but I’m sure his first test hundred won’t be too far away. Him and Brook will be the cornerstones of our batting lineup for years to come.

    Transfer Rumour Robins to Hull

It’s nice to see Godden doing reasonably well for Charlton. He has five goals at 183 minutes per goal, so the equivalent of a goal every other game. He was brilliant for us at a lower level and I remember him fondly.

    Calm down

I certainly agree with the view that we need to give Simms a run of games. Let him start and give his all for say 60/65 minutes. We then have the pace of NB and BT-A to deploy against tiring defences.

    Ellis Simms

Dublin was excellent at the back. If I remember correctly it started when we put him there if we were one up in a game and clinging on with ten minutes to go. Simms has the build and is a decent header of the ball but, unlike Dublin, I don’t think he can tackle.

I wonder if they might both be sacked on the same day. Another possibility is that one of them will be gone before the match on Monday. The survivor then loses the game and is dismissed on Tuesday. It is only a few months ago that O’Neil was being touted by some as a possible successor to...

I guess that means he will be out for ages then.

    Rainbow Captain's Armband

The languages mainly spoken by the persons depicted in the New Testament (apart from the Romans) were Aramaic and Hebrew. Their words were then translated into Greek before, after 1,400 years, being translated into Medieval English. Over time it was translated into the St James Bible and...

    Transfer Rumour Kai Wagner

True but I’ve heard she is too short and lacks pace.

    Rainbow Captain's Armband

Thankfully we do not live in a world in which God seeks to control us or our actions. I for one wouldn’t have it any other way 👍

    Rainbow Captain's Armband

Absolutely right. I am proud to be a practising Christian but have little time for Bible fundamentalists. The New Testament was mainly written many years after Christ and is subject to the failings of human memory. It is the work of humans and therefore prone to error both in the writing and...

    Rainbow Captain's Armband

I welcome football showing its support for inclusivity but I think it would be better not to involve the players. There can be messages on the scoreboard, in the match programmes and inside the stadium which will be far more visible than on armbands worn by the players.

FA Cup 3rd Round Draw - Monday 2/12

Very disappointing draw. Not at all exciting but the sort of game we could easily lose. Hopefully we will win and it will kickstart our league performances.

    Victor Torp

I prefer Torp to Rudoni as our more advanced midfielder. Apart from anything else, he has a better shot in him. Given our woes at LWB, I would be happy to go back to experimenting with Rudoni in that position. I thought he did quite well there and could hold that position down as a temporary...
