The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I’m obviously a little more optimistic about future prospects RoS but each to their own. There’s plenty of variables and dynamics at play... countries (EU and non EU) economic performances, US election, things like corona virus (if it can’t be controlled). Just need to make it work and see how...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I’m sure you don’t NW, I was suggesting people wanting direct negative impact on themselves/individuals ps employment prospects and wages for most have gone up since 2016. It’s not a given but hopefully that will continue

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It’s not pathetic, people quite happily picking any the negatives. Very rarely do you see any acknowledgement of any positive news and/or push back against the EUs position Its also not faux outrage, I just said, I can’t get my head around it but then again, I’ve never really bought into the...

    Fury v Wilder 2

Agreed. Can’t see him doing that and if he does, getting away with it. Fury’s best chance is keeping on the move for 12 rounds (he can easily outbox Wilder IF he can avoid his right hand !!!) fascinating fight !

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Its a negotiation stance, not the end outcome though NW. everyone knew the EU would be difficult, they didn’t want us to leave. It now depends how far, under the current circumstances, they want to push their ideological support of the EU project over the best interests for the EU and UK...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

This is what I don’t quite get Sick boy, why would you (or others)be happy with the EUs stance ? This is like groundhog day but we have moved on and left so surely you (and others) should just want what is best for us now. I’m surprised people can be supportive of the EUs current stance on what...

    Fury v Wilder 2

Very difficult to call. Fury by the far the better boxer but Wilder has got that leveller (freaky power) As I heard Wilder say once, for an opponent to beat him they have got to be on it 3 mins a round for 12 rounds, while all he needs is the other fighter to switch off for one second.

Match Thread Southend United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 15th Feb

Hopefully Clive doesn’t want to see him being pulled off like they used to do with the ballboys

    Sorry Baka

Great first half last night. Put himself about, won a decent amount of headers, brought others into play and he’s got a very good touch most of the time. Didn’t see as much of the ball second half but the last few games I think he’s looked a different player and really stepped up (confidence !)

    Sam McCallum

Bit harsh for anyone to say he’s not as committed as he was/heads not in it. Young lad whos playing first full season in proper men’s football in a position that requires you to be up and down there pitch constantly (got a bit bulled last night but no shame in that against a tough team) I...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

As we all know, some of our fans slag off players unnecessarily ! He’s a brave young lad, works his arse off and has got that little bit of magic, but I’ve got to be honest, I thought he struggled in patches tonight (and was actually surprised when Allen was taken off - That’s why Robins does...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

They are but they battered us for 20+ mins playing ugly, shithouse football. You can win a lot of games like that in this league ! not tonight though ;)

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

Massive, massive win ! Get in City ! Great finish Matty godden ! After a fair bit of (some of it ridiculous) stick all our strikers have stepped up when needed over the last few games....keep it up lads !!! ps Marosi, you beauty !

Baka having a great game, amazing what a bit of support and confidence does for certain players. Very tight, hope we can nick it !

    HS2 Get on it!!!

increases overall capacity (which I think helps with commercial/freight rail as well - don’t quote me). Sure I’ve seen that Bham to London never runs near capacity anyway though as services are regular/plenty carriages etc they are reviewing the northern section, I think it will be scrapped and...

    Boxing Thread

agree mate, he looked good. Showed his power at 154 by finishing it with what was pretty much a jab. brooks an enigma though and so frustrating (saying that as a fan). If he keeps himself dedicated there’s no reason why he shouldn’t do well in future big fights but he’s got to stop pissing...

    Oirish Election

It does look like the Brexit vote has accelerated the likelihood of reunification. As I say, I don’t know enough about Irish politics etc to comment much but understood that over time it was possibly edging in that direction anyway. As with the Scots, my preference would be for NI to remain...

    Oirish Election

Just didn’t see the need to be mentioning two people who historically supported the fight for unity through violence/killing innocents (via links to IRA and provisional IRA) apologies if oversensitive on the matter

    Oirish Election

I’ve avoided posting on this thread as I don’t know enough about Irish politics, however, not sure bringing either of those two into the debate (and comparing them in some way to Johnson) is appropriate
