As a species I don't think we're lazy, a lot of hard work goes into making your average persons life more efficient.

    Gardening

My old gaffers business was based out of the estate by Bayton Road, that was nice and quite, and never saw gang of yoof's hanging about. Dunno where your's is but the garden looks class, you'll have to join us on the veg/allotment thread. ;)

I've just had a look at the properties, why are they so cheap compared to Coventry? some of the houses are about half the price (granted, I don't know the areas).

    Weight and working out

I personally wouldn't fast, no need to punish yourself for a blip, just get back to eating healthy, and learn from it. (y)

    Dodgy Advertising

I got the same recently, people at work were talking about motorbikes, and suddenly I got loads of adverts for the new Triumph motorbike. 100% they're using something to pick up on keywords to divert specific adverts your way.

    9PM Junk Food Ad Ban

I would say that the biggest factor is the sedentary life style everyone now has, people used to eat lard on toast and roast their spuds in that, but they would burn it off through the day at work. I'm not trying to be funny here, but if your friends can't afford to cook a meal or afford to...

TBF, he did imply that shit food is cheaper then nutritious food, which isn't the case. Good food is easily accessible, walk into any supermarket in the land, it's also easy to prepare (granted, not as easy as opening a packet). Let's be honest, how much effort does it take to peel a few spuds...

Good food is way cheaper then a take away, easily feed a family of 4 for a fiver with good quality fresh ingredients.

    Things that annoy you

Well, you know what they say, Karma's a bitch. Got a phone call of my boss about 10 minutes after I left work, the c**t who took me to HR has only gone and lost his keys...

    Things that annoy you

I'm the third person this year he's taken to HR, HR and union have basically said he's a trouble maker but they must be seen to be doing something,

    Things that annoy you

There's been rumours for a while they're look at offering VR, and we were talking about it, how much they'd need to offer to go etc, and I just asked him as part of that. He's same level as me but I've he's only been here just over a year.

    Things that annoy you

Snowflakes, never met one before, but I've been moved to a new site and one of the lads here is an absolute baby, everyone else told me to tread on eggshells around him, but I'm currently waiting to go into a meeting with HR, what's put me in this position? I've asked him if he would take a VR...

Moving Forward - New Stadium Questions

Exactly mate, it'll be far worse then the Ricoh 'expierence'. I have a feeling the uni will want it, so they can start doing athletics meetings there.

Moving Forward - New Stadium Questions

I'm interested to know if it'll be a multi venue event, ie, will it have an athletics track.

    Realistic signings

Exactly re Wilson & Maddison, We'd have been looking at about 50mill for the pair as opposed to the 6 million or so we got. I would say it's a less risky strategy then throwing money at names, yes some signings won't work out but others will go beyond their threshold, It's a system that works...

    Realistic signings

They have the exact same model as us with players, find players that are 'undervalued' for whatever reason, let them shine for a year or 2 and cash in, Can't remember of the top of my head, but they've received something like £150 million in transfer fees in 4 or 5 years.

    Realistic signings

I do agree we have plenty in those positions, I'm just not sure any of them are actually good enough (apart from O'Hare).

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

I've had a thought, as this stadium will be in partnership with the uni, are they going to want to have a running pitch around the pitch? One of the poor things about the Ricoh is the huge space between the playing surface and the seated areas. This is a proposed plan for a light rail network...

    Realistic signings

How about Sammie Szmodics from Bristol City? Was on fire for Peterborough when they signed him, I reckon BC would be willing to allow him to leave for a few months to see if he can make the step up to Championship level.
