Whatever you think of Wasps they’ve somehow managed to get bidders to the table for the arena. Still confident that this is an opportunity for CCFC rather than a problem. Whoever owns the arena won’t be as cash strapped as Wasps and would be crazy not to link the club and stadium.

I agree. If ACL is sold the Lease continues - who owns ACL is highly unlikely to be any concern of CCC (unless there are specific clauses in the lease) Administration is the next stage but opens issues wider in terms of responsibility. Liquidation might be a game changer.

I can only guess as a catchback in the case that there is a liquidation at the last minute. Perhaps the Council have agreed they would assume safety (or whatever) responsibility if ACL fails at 18.00 or something tomorrow.

The best offer isn’t necessarily the highest offer, this is where SISU have cards to play. A high offer but hostile SISU may not be better than a tamed SISU and lower offer. That 10 year lease might well have been good foresight.

You can only guess that the people who can enforce admin (charge holders or debenture holders) have resolved in writing not to do so tomorrow.

I think the NOI gives protection to stop creditors putting ACL into admin. IE they can’t during those 10 days. Now there is no protection but also no reason for any creditor to fire the trigger if there is a solvent resolution on the table.

Yes and no. Always the risk of them having conflicts about which act where, which conference where, at the moment they are kind of rivals. Could get messy.

That makes sense, but it’s security. If the stadium lease sale exceeds the bond and other creditors (ie the P share money isn’t needed to cover the guarantee), the Wasp P share goes to the Wasps in Admin (and gets swallowed up by HMRC etc) I just thought that they’d try to rope it in to ACL by...

It is plausible. As said, SISU have the ability to influence the Arena sale be it with court action or moving away if they aren’t part of the deal. That they’ve got a patsy to facilitate makes sense, the 49% thing is the only bit I can’t fathom. However, it is a very plausible outcome...
