Was interesting reading some comments from Jack Wilshere today: "People will say what they want and footballers get paid well, but there is nothing more draining and saps your confidence more than when you know you are not going to play, that no matter what you do in training, or what the other...

4-3-2 from here on in. Godden is defending too deep so even if we do win the ball there's no outlet. Biamou for O'Hare now and Bapaga and Baka for some pace and ball carry instead of Allen and Godden after 65 mins

There was one moment after about 35 minutes where O'Hare is driving at the defender who is flat footed on the edge of their area and instead of just cutting inside him and getting a left foot shot off he delayed and delayed until he could pass to Godden. Kind of summed up his last few games for me.

I like Clive too. He might get a few names wrong but he's a good commentator. Won't be many better combos in the country than Clive and Oggy for commentary and insight.

If they press us and pin the wingbacks back then Kelly and Sheaf will be on the toes of the centre backs with only Allen, O'Hare and Godden to aim for. Then you'll be saying Sheaf is pedestrian again :P but the reality is he won't have the progressive passes available that he is looking to...

If Blackburn decide to play an open attacking game we'll have space and be fine but if they compress the midfield I think we'll struggle. Our spine is just too slow under pressure.

    Michael Rose

We might not have been actively trying to play offside but Hyam has got to be aware of what is happening when Rose has travelled that far - it's not a split second decision for him of whether to step up to McFadz line (or even drop off and sweep). Everything Hyam needs to see is right there in...

    Sheaf

Don't think it's a speed of thought issue as such. He is a player who will always look at his best when we play well. Yesterday the rest of the midfield had time and space and were showing for him so he could play his progressive passes. Against Brentford the midfield were hidden so he appears...

I'm not surprised by that to be honest. If his weight balance has even slightly shifted after his hip op he was always going to be susceptible to secondary injuries.

I can't believe Bayliss didn't get out on loan somewhere, even at L2. Rotting away.

Thought it was a bit arrogant from Swansea tonight actually. They'll have seen the Bournemouth and Brentford games and how a high press and nullifying the wingbacks strangled us and yet it just seemed they ignored that and thought they would simply match us up and be better.

    Player Ratings v Swansea

The thing I liked most about tonight was that it was the peripheral players, or players with question marks over their ability to adapt, who all stepped up and played well. Shipley, McCallum, Allen, Sheaf etc

    I think they'd make a great 3 in 4-3-3 if we ever need a plan B!

Range of passing with both feet, gets box to box too, likes a tackle. A lot to like about him and going to keep getting better.

Oggy makes his own tea - he's very specific with how he likes it. Think Winch just holds Oggy's nose out the way so he can drink out of a mug.

What is the purpose of Martin Winch at these games? Is he just the roadie? Whenever he's brought in for comment he sounds like he's been doing his Sudoku and been caught off guard so just trots out some cliche.

O'Hare's had a bit of a shocker tonight. He's totally misread how to play these conditions. Too flicky in this zippy damp. Guaranteed 92nd minute winner now!
