A bit like the stock market, it's the long term trajectory, rather than short term blips that are important. Our squad has much more depth to it than recently, with the added bonus of the players belonging to us, rather than bulked up with loans. All good for the club imo.

Agree with you mate - it is taking a gamble. I would give James a contract,, but only if he is fit and up to speed. if he isn't yet, I would hold out until the January window for a better option, as we can't waste weeks of a 3month period waiting for that.

The club have limited opportunity to make extra income (a lot of attendees at matches are ST holders), and if we want to make new signings, be it January or next summer / or even retain players through better contracts, the money has to come from somewhere (and like it, or not, we as supporters...
