Good! I sat in the away end vs Utd one year…the year Hartson scored first, and we lost 4-2. When the teams came out the bloke infront of me complained that I was clapping too loud.

Especially cos Hamer got cheered! 😄 My dad tells me when Peter Crouch went back to Fratton Park for the first time the Pompey faithful gave him a terrible time. He reckons Crouch looked absolutely gutted! Sometimes football fans are really funny.

I think it could just be that! Personally I can both appreciate Robins (Hamer and other ex-players) and still want us to beat them 7-0. More than one emotion!

We ‘ll clap and sing him some songs. It’s fair enough…it wasn’t that long ago people were debating what his statue should be made of. I don’t get the dislike of showing appreciation to our ex-‘heroes’. It feels like something that has always happened.

My indignation would’ve been through the roof! 😃 I reckon we didn’t have any luck at the start of the year…or were just rubbish. It’s been a funny old season. Previous (recent) years the football’s been more exciting but if we grind out shitty wins for the rest of the season I’ll be well happy!
