I don’t think there’s a cat in hell’s chance we will sign him, but there’s always another angle. Some workplaces have good atmospheres, people like to be there, the staff give a darn and don’t treat you like a number. Word gets round: “Good place to be that, they look after you” That the club...

Ok. Let’s have the deep dive - waiting. Or a sarky, unconstructive comment like a 12 year old. let’s see…..

Yes, but the point remains: if the total fund is £560m and CCFC is £60m, then (sell CCFC for and) get a return of £ 20m, the fund can only be valued at £500m with £20m in cash. £520m. It’s lost £40m. Investors won’t be happy. You can’t just make numbers up, there usually has to be substantive...

….unless they reach the Prem ….get some really lucky transfers like £20m for Gyok (McBurnie was more and he’s useless) , £15m for whoever, this sell on, that Cup run (Look IDGAF that atm it’s pie in the sky, but I’m playing Devils Advocate) ….Get the CBS for very little (£15m might have been...

It was the first two results and not the key point, unlike saying Sunderland was sold for £42m because that was the first Google article.

That’s the whole point. They can’t. And it’s not SISU putting their money in, it’s using investor funds and then increasing the investor debt and showing increased “profits (interest)” which is then added to the “investment” It’s not quite a PONZI. In the same way Sir Allen Stanford’s...

I don’t agree. They are a hedge fund. Definition: A hedge fund is a limited partnership of private investors whose money is managed by professional fund managers who use a wide range of strategies, including leveraging or trading of non-traditional assets, to earn above-average investment...

Correct. And regardless of the “value” that others may claim it’s whether SISU can afford to crystallise their debt at a loss or not. They will no longer be able to say that they have investments in fund A or B of £“X”m for CCFC if they’ve sold for 20. They’ll have to show a loss. I’ve read a...

Yes there was some messing with parachute payments. All irrelevant - it appears that there was no “£42 million sale” just one shareholder increasing their shares.

Who knows what debt attached and if they have playing staff worth a black cat. Plus, I thought there was an offer of £42m turned down. Not sure of actual sale. Link anyone?

Still not got his approximation of what SISU would take as lowest offer. Just curious.

Not always. Think negative equity mortgage but you are getting decent rental income and there’s a chance that HS2 is going to need to overpay in a few years. Do you sell for less than you have loans against or sit tight?
