Well I wasn't saying that they are definitely moving there. Just pointing out there are population centres that are currently unserved, and the owners of clubs seem to be able to move them wherever.

    Lowest Ever Coventry City Attendance?

Its people swallowing the story that the club needs to own the Freehold that annoys me. I get why the club needs to own the lease, and its benefits. The Freehold however, it makes no difference to CCFC if it belongs to Sisu or CCC (except I trust CCC's intentions more to do what is right for...

    Lowest Ever Coventry City Attendance?

Nothing unusual about it no. But to say CCFC will own a new ground is a lie that needs to be exposed.

and? Stoke on Trent isnt a city, it is a collection of towns. Stoke Town has a population of about 6k yet it supports a Premier football team.

No need to go that far. Two biggest cities in England without a league team are currently Wakefield (population 325k) and Coventry (316k). Now, seen as the daft cow (otherwise known as our owner) has stated she wont work with Coventry Council, somewhere like Wakefield might seem an attractive...

If FFP isn't important (and therefore income streams also aren't), can you tell me why my club isn't playing in my city?

Sisu, The Glaziers, Mike Ashby, The Venkys and Dr Allam will be joining forces after this. Love to see the lot of them get their arses kicked.

Again its a simple solution. Either get some proper seats in there (non corporate ones) or move the TV gantry.

All I'm saying is the faults of the Ricoh aren't to do with the building, but mostly how its run. A fault is only severe if its difficult to correct. Pretty much all the faults you listed (baring location) can be solved without any structural work.

Interesting you say about the raised roof. One of the main criticisms of HR in its later years was the low West Terrace roof. Made a good atmosphere in the stand itself, but trapped the sound in. That rendered it pretty useless for atmosphere around the whole ground. I used to be an East Stand...

Like I say, name a new ground that isn't? As much as you or I don't like it, that is modern football. Only way around that is FC City of Coventry.

A rather cheap shot from a normally sensible poster.

Again, location has nothing to do with the building. HR was on the edge of the city (Swan Lane was the boundary) when it was built surrounded by fields. Character isn't something that's built. Its something that builds up over decades. No new ground has character.
