I remember someone asking how we could fit both EMC and Haji in the team. My reply was that we should play EMC on the left and Haji through the middle. Boy did I get some stick for that from those who thought he could only play on the left! 🙂

I’m sure the home (for him) World Cup is a great motivator but we mustn’t forget that he was out injured for quite a long time last season and I don’t think he ever got back to full fitness. He was fairly prolific the previous season and he is on fire at the moment.

I couldn’t quote all of the negative posts about him, otherwise the forum server would have exploded! 😆

I wonder if any of the above has changed his mind about him? 😆 In fairness, the above comments were made in the aftermath of his poor showing in the playoffs.

    Unless it’s Wales v Jamaica 😆

Took both of his goals well. He’s on fire at the moment 😊

That’s only another 12 so, if his fitness and form hold up, I expect him to get more than that. Probably 25+.

Wales must be glad they are not playing the mighty Sky Blues, otherwise it might have been the Old Seven. 🙂

    FUTURE ENGLISH STADIUMS

If this goes ahead Wasps will effectively be a brand new club, albeit bearing an old name. I don't think they should be allowed to join the rugby pyramid at anything higher than National League 2 and arguably they should start lower than that. I expect they will go straight into the Premiership 😡

76-7 now 😆 I certainly don’t rule them out though. Mooney is still in and going well and Pakistan’s batting lineup isn’t particularly strong.

    Championship thread 25/26!

You are but a child! 😆 I’ll be very lucky to have more than another five years ☹️ It’s a good job that I will be able to spend my declining years watching the Sky blues in the Premier League 👍

    Home v Blackburn

That would be good 👍 I just think they will come with the main objective of stopping us scoring and will park the bus. If they manage to sneak a goal first we can expect time wasting and assorted shenanigans as in the Norwich game. Us scoring first, to open them up, will be key I think. Do...

    Home v Blackburn

I think this will be tighter than many think: 2-1 to us is my guess.

I reckon we will get more than our money’s worth, even though we are unlikely to make a profit on him. He has an excellent injury record and he is a classy player who makes the ball do the work. He doesn’t need lots of pace to do his job well, so he could be playing well into his mid to late 30s.

    Thomas Asante

I noticed from later posts that Ghana didn’t qualify, which surprised me. It could possibly have been a double-edged sword for us if they had. On the one hand we would lose him for several games, with an increased risk of injury and exhaustion. On the other it would have given him an added...

Me too. I guess he will be on the bench but if he gets some game time on Wednesday and/or Sunday and plays as well as he has been doing for us then he could cement a place in the World Cup squad. I’m pleased for him. He deserves it.

    Nah, he’s worth more than £10 😆

    OH WHAT A GLORIOUS MORNING

It’s better than that. On another thread there was a query about whether one of BTA’s goals on Saturday would be taken off him and credited as an own goal, so I Googled it. Look what I found: Our win against SW means that we have already been promoted! Well done lads 👏
