Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

The fee was around £1m if memory recalls correctly.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

It's entirely possible (take Brau as an example) that deals are being agreed by the club and perspective players whilst Lampard is on holiday and all the deals will be completed when Lampard returns, at which point it's essentially media formalities being completed. I personally don't think we...

Cracking away day that one, great goal from Aaron Phillips as well, from where we were as soon as he hit it we knew it was in.

I wonder if City are one of the “two Championship sides”?

Not now he’s signed for Stoke I would imagine.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

I totally agree that there is no guarantee of a replacement being an upgrade on Haji and BTA is a very good example of how the recruitment team can get it wrong. It is only my opinion, but Haji blows too hot and cold for me, and I personally don't see a EPL taking a risk on him because of this...

Is Wright a good player, yes. Is he one of the top five strikers in the Championship, yes on when he's on it. Has he been consistent enough while at City, arguably no. Personally I'd be happy to keep him unless a deal is on the table for £12m+ then I would consider taking it.

That header summed up his performance over the two legs, disappointing.

No one is paying £20m+ for Haji Wright.

    10 years ago (15/16)

Losing Ryan Kent was pivotal to our season, I think if Kent stays for the season we go onto win L1 that season.

Yes, there was something on X suggesting it but unsure if that was from a reliable source.

Yes, he is at the moment. Unsure if we can get a deal done with that injury, but if we can then I would as he can score goals at this level and would benefit from how Lampard wants us to play.

In an ideal world I would sign the below this summer. Freddie Woodman (GK) - Perm - Free Callum Doyle (LB/CB) - Loan to Perm Kessler-Hayden (RB) - Loan Hector Kyprianou (CM) - Perm - Tribunal Kwame Poku (RW) - Perm - Tribunal Josh Coburn (ST) - Perm - Fee Elijah Adebayo (ST) - Perm - Fee I...

How much longer do we persist with Simms though on the potential he might come good? He was brought in after Gyokeres left, with Wright, to lead the line for us up top and he’s not been consistently good enough.

    Wright

It’s obviously all hypothetical now and whilst I agree there are some elements of last night Godden would have struggled, he always had a knack of being in the right place at the right time. He’s got 18 goals again this season which shows he still knows his way to goal. I think you are bang on...

    Wright

No I agree, it’s not his fault. Win and lose as a team. What I would say in hindsight is that with a half competent striker last night, let’s say Godden, I think we win and the mood is very different. I’ve never been Wright’s biggest fan, for me blows hot and cold, and it’s the latter most of...
