If he could get 10 goals and 10 assists a season, he’d be a Premier League player. Very classy on the ball and very good off the ball too! We’ve got a v good player who will grow with us (hopefully).

    Points performance vs last season

60 points is a doable target for this year. It was only our poor away form which held us back last season.

    We will be fine.

I’ve looked into this and Sheaf had some impressive stats. However, Kelly’s overall rating was better than Sheafs - 6.74 to 6.60 iirc. Sheaf had injuries to deal with last year so I’m hoping he can elevate his game that much more this season. I like him and think £750,000 could be v good value...

    Points performance vs last season

The last two season our first away win was around the Xmas period. Wycombe away in 2019/20 season and Millwall in 20/21. Which makes our start all the more encouraging because we’ve dominated both teams we’ve played away.

The iFollow reply was a bit too fast, I’m hoping at best, Gyo’s goal hit his side rather than his arm… but it looks an obvious handball at full speed. We’ve definitely got the rub of the green this half despite our dominance. Conceded two clear cut chances and our goal probably shouldn’t have been.

You have to be impressed with our start. We’ve dominated Forest (second half), Barnsley away and now Blackpool. We’ve looked the most vulnerable v Blackpool so far though! Clarke-Salter has been on the wrong side of the defender a couple of times and McFadz was all over the shop for that big...

We’ve looked v good this season so far! Confident on the ball and creating chances. But, our conversion rate needs to pick up.

    We will be fine.

He isn’t the best passer of the ball, you’re right. Overall, he was probably our best defensive midfielder and that is his primary role. Had we signed Matty James, that would’ve been Kelly’s replacement. We didn’t and the search continues - it’s really not that simple to go out and sign a...

    We will be fine.

Not sure what it is exactly, but we look a lot more dangerous whenever Walker is on the pitch. Personally, I think he’s the best we’ve got at the club. If I was picking the team, I’d have have one of Gyo/Waghorn and one of Godden/Walker as my strike partnership. We did enough yesterday to win...

    We will be fine.

Leadership is one of, if not the most important things in a team setting in any team sport. Teams without good leadership tend to underperform. So to see you call it ‘the stuff of minnows’ is just a careless comment. Realistically, with where we’re at now, Kelly is a good player to have and...

    We will be fine.

We’re in trouble based on what? We survived with him comfortably last year. In fact, our PPG was relegation form without him. He’s our most influential player and is fine for the level we’re at and the notion that ‘we’re in trouble’ because he’s a start is just nonsense. However, I agree Kelly...

Personally, I wouldn’t respond to stuff on social media. However, there’s nothing wrong with players responding and setting the record straight in public.

Why? Shows the players have each other’s backs. Too many of our fans have been talking absolute nonsense in relation to the penalty taker. Had Waghorn stepped and missed, people would be calling for Gyo to take the pen. We missed a penalty, it is what it is. Overall, we played v well today and...

Absolutely gutting result. The big positive is that if we play like this all season, we’ll be absolutely fine.

    Waghorn.....

Forest are pretty well known for being compact defensively so it probably wasn’t the best game for Gyo and Waghorn. They’ll provide a lot of value against teams who either play out from the back and/or play a high defensive line. For me, I’d start one of them with either Walker/Godden. The...
