I always found it odd how badly the Robins teams used to play against passing teams. Felt like teams like Swansea, Southampton, Ipswich etc had our number every time we played them and nothing he tried to do helped. Always wondered why.
I read a piece yesterday about Birmingham and their setup. They have Craig Gardner as their Director of Football and some analytics nerd whose worked in football across a bunch of analysis roles as their Head of Recruitment.
Was talking about Gardner and how the American owners absolutely love...
I want the biggest nerds of all time running the show. Grab someone from Brighton, that Ian Graham bloke, tell em to recreate their scouting algorithms, and start hoovering up 18yo's from Ecuador and Guinea-Bissau.
I know there's at least one, maybe two posters on this forum who have been asked to delete posts about the academy and academy games because the club claim it breaches safeguarding 😂
I wish I was joking.
It’s on purpose. The club have decided to report as little as possible about the U21s and Youth team in some bizarre effort to stop youngsters getting poached.
As if there aren’t scouts at every U18 and U16 game Cov will play all season long.
If Grimes gets hurt we’ve got no one who can naturally play at DM.
If Rudoni gets hurt we’ve got no one who can naturally play the 10.
But thank god we’ve got 3 left backs eh lads.
