Who would you keep next season.

Then why do you rate a currently average league 2 player? At least Maddison could do it in league one, but Shipley can’t even do it in league 2. Unless he’s been played out of position and should be playing at left back.

Who would you keep next season.

The thing is the vast majority of them aren’t good enough, e.g. Finch and Thomas who you’ve probably rated before and been proven wrong, but I’m not sad enough to trawl through your posts to find out.

The principle was right though. We should not be relying on 18 year olds to try and change it for us. Luckily Bayliss had the ability to cope with being thrown into the deep end, but many sink rather than swim.

Well I’m sure you’ll be wrong with this one. Quote me on it.

Match Thread Coventry City at Notts County Match Thread - Saturday 7th Apr

How did Reid not come on in that second half? Shipley was having a mare and put a dreadful ball in nine times out of ten. But no, let’s put on Barrett who changes games according to Robins. He’s in the same bracket as Michael Folivi and Andre Wright!

    Meltdown

Both were awful, but they were more clinical at the end of the day. How many corners did we have and we couldn’t capitalise, but they only had 2 or 3 and made the most of it. Defensive frailties will be the undoing of us, which is ironic considering how good they were at the start of the season.

    Meltdown

We definitely deserved to lose today. It would’ve been daylight robbery if we grabbed a point.

    Support for Burge

Well I don’t rate him but I can’t be bothered to argue about it to be honest. It’s been done enough over the last few days.

    Support for Burge

Jesus if you spent that long defending him I don’t think anyone’s going to change your mind!

    Burge "injured"

And how did you come to that conclusion? Start making up nonsense as your point is nonsense.
  13. Cavan O'Doherty

    Burge "injured"

My experience of you is that you have no balance. In your eyes a player can do no wrong. Stop defending the indefensible.
  14. Cavan O'Doherty

    Burge "injured"

You’re twisting my words. Haynes didn’t make a mistake because when things aren’t going well he doesn’t want the ball, offer himself or take a risk as he is mentally weak. This was shown when he was bottling tackles and headers at Newport.

    Burge "injured"

Yes if I had it my way I’d have Stokes in the team, but whilst Stokes is better defensively the attacking side to his game is very poor. Mind you, the same could be said about Haynes!
  16. Cavan O'Doherty

    Burge "injured"

The only reason he’s in the team is because there’s no one better. Lucky for Haynes that Stokes is just as bad as him.
  17. Cavan O'Doherty

    Burge "injured"

So you’re telling me that you think Haynes is a good player? If so, then you sir are deluded.
  18. Cavan O'Doherty

    Burge "injured"

No what are you talking about? Grimmer had a shocker today like almost everyone else, but he has been decent for most of the season. Haynes is dreadful and brings nothing to the table apart from the odd good run every 5 games. I don’t know why we’ve persisted with him for so long.
