As a no nonsense player to protect the back four, I think if he can stay clear of injury as he plays more games and becomes more comfortable and experienced he could be a very useful player for us in the next few years. Yes, we'd need more talented players around him, but he could help give...

Now, we can sit here and consider how wise it was to give them the contracts they're on in the first place, but once they've got them just getting rid of them because we fancy it isn't an option. if we cancelled their contracts it wouldn't save us money because the clue's in the name -...

Me too. Although it would continue the pain for a bit (though with a modicum of fun) he's the one most like to continue the car crash that would lead to the Torie losing power. Sunak and Mordaunt would have an air of competence that would recover their reputation a bit, but would still be bad...

Obviously this won't apply across the board but it seems that in terms of social issues they're to the left but things like wealth are more important to them. But I guess when they've very little prospect of getting on the property ladder etc stuff like that will matter to them.

U.S. sport is very different - basically you're protected even if you make the worst decisions ever because there's no risk of relegation etc. You could lose every game one year and still be able to win the big prize the next. In fact you can even be helped to do so because the draft system...

It's an absolute mockery of the last process if they can now just decide to chose one in a week. What was the point in the endless TV coverage and debates when we didn't get a vote anyway?

Never understood why, if you have to play someone out of position (which we didn't in this case) why managers always seem to choose youngsters to do it. They're clearly going to be less experienced and more nervous even in their natural position so why make it harder for them.

If we had a box formation I think it wouldn't be too bad. O'Hare and Palmer or Hamer would give us that attacking impetus.
