Effected every professional sports team. How many non-sports businesses have gone to the wall because they couldn't get help/breathing space? Where's the help for so many other hospitality/conferenceing/hotel businesses that struggled or failed? How many other businesses could have got away...

Numerous rugby clubs have got into financial trouble ( through mismanagement, overreaching) and haven't been bailed out / helped by other rugby clubs or RFU. Not sure why Wasps think they should be a special case or merit sympathy.

10000 all seater is nonsense. Got at least 3 or 4 clubs in that division that get nowhere near those sort of levels of support.

Don't have a problem with Cov Rugby message. They are competing with Wasps for support, local business funding etc. Sit there quietly and donothing and they'll slowly fade away down their leagues. Despite the blurb Wasps did not give a toss about the impact on Cov Rugby when they moved here.

It's a sustainable sport but not at the professional level it has set itself up to be atm. Can't be considered mainstream when a large chunk of the country (the North) largely ignores it.

But aren't they another club that survive because of wealthy backers? Point being there's only a handful of teams in the largest city and they struggle to get crowds / be financially sound.
