Yes the rest seems to have done him the world of good. He doesn’t do anything spectacular but he’s starting to pop up when it’s needed. Always puts in 100% which is all you can ask.

Stokes made the world of difference. I Would keep him in now until the end of the season and hopefully he can provide the same type of performance as he did today.

If he’s getting exposed at this level, imagine what would happen in league one against players with the quality of Nick Powell, Bradley Dack, Will Grigg etc.

Look, my observation when he played for COVENTRY was that he was not good enough at the time. I don’t follow Scunthorpe, but maybe he suits their system. You see it differently(like you always do), but I thought he was one of our worst players and he shouldn’t have been playing in the championship.
