    Tactics

I guess Robins thought that the players coming on offered different attributes to the players coming off. At that point I suppose nothing was going to alter the inevitable outcome

    Tactics

The bottom line is everyone performed below par and Luton were on it, that’s a recipe for a heavy defeat. The tactics of the wing backs were not questioned until now. Playing that system means the most space for any team to try and exploit is in the space down the channels. If the centre halves...

It happens sometimes. A few years ago a team I was managing were near the top of the league. Went into a game we thought we’d win comfortably, found ourselves 5-0 at half time and down to 10 men. Fuck all you can do to change a game in that predicament

    DO NOT boo the knee

One of the many positives of footballers taking the knee is that it’s outed the really thick people in our society, so give yourself a pat on the back

    Two team wankers

I take a passing interest in Bayern Munich because my grandad was German and a Bayern supporter. He was also a massive Coventry fan and took me to my first ever game in around 1988 I believe

    Championship 21/22

My favourite part: The modern rebirth of Coventry City is a long and arduous story yet it spans only as long as Robins’ four-and-a-half year tenure at the club. What he’s achieved in such a short space of time and against such highly-stacked odds is without doubt a folklore tale of English...
