    Robins dilemma

Simms and Wright will be our starting strikers when everyone is up to speed. This only changes if Godden has an impact similar to that in our second Championship season. Simms will be absolutely fine and the naysayers will come to look silly in a few months time. Wright will also be a class act...

    I want a signing today!

Yes, we all knew about the link with Da Silva, but the announcement wasn’t leaked.

    I want a signing today!

Most of them were leaked by journalists weren’t they? The only surprises were: - Da Silva - Simms - Binks Even these 3, Da Silva was linked in Jan, Simms was picked up by Sky and hilariously, the club leaked Binks when no one had a clue it was happening!

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

    Let’s start a match thread - Styles and Kitching watch… 😂

Match Thread Swansea City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 19th Aug

Did Robins allude to Wright being short on match fitness hence the start at Wimbledon and bench v Boro? I agree we should keep it unchanged, Wright as an impact sub for 30 minutes will help ease him into match fitness and form.

I fancy us for a win, 2-0. Beating Boro 3-0 must do wonders for confidence even if the score line was slightly flattering. Unchanged team with any new signings likely to come in on the bench. I’m not excited for this away day and making a bit of a weekend of it of it too! #pusb

    Our ticket prices for kids

Out of curiosity, how many games did we sell out this side of Christmas last season? Ultimately, big games and a successful product will attract more fans than competitive pricing. We could’ve done kids for a quid every game in L2 and the impact on attendances would likely be minimal.

    Our ticket prices for kids

To play devils advocate, isn’t there a risk this is a storm in a teacup? What evidence is there that the pricing structure is deterring attendances? We’ll likely hit a record average attendance this season despite the furore around ticket prices.

    Our ticket prices for kids

Moving forwards, we surely want to be an exclusive brand, right? Therefore, the drive should be encouraging people to sign up for STs/match packages. The family zone is incredible value hence it sold out so quickly my brother (concession) and I’s ST was £350. Two concessions and 2 adults would...

    Our ticket prices for kids

To be frank, people taking the piss buying discounted tickets for people that should be full price paying has probably driven this. It appears the justification is based on data that a disproportionate amount of tickets being sold were concession/children’s and so on. A middle needs to be...

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

It’s not a given COH will come in and replace Palmer. COH may not be the same upon his return and Palmer is highly rated by MR and Viveash. COH will need to work his way in and that’s without discounting Sakamoto and/or a potential new signing. We’ll certainly see both of them appear in the box...

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

Agreed with both of these! There were times last season our subs, frankly, were not good enough to make the impact needed in games. Offensively, we were carried by Hamer and Gyokeres last season and that was backed up by a really solid defence.

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

In terms of building a squad, we currently do need several players. If selling Hamer and Gyokeres allows us to sign a few standouts and really build the squad, it’s worthwhile. Likewise, it allows us to use to really focus on signing marquee players in future transfer windows. Looking at...

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

I thought Simms played alright, looked a handful cutting from the left but didn’t get a good chance. He will progress and Wright will too and they will form a really good partnership. As for Godden, I’ve been critical of him and he’s proven a lot of doubters wrong. Absolutely worth a new...

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 12th Aug

Today’s game was an interesting matchup given our respective seasons. We’ve managed the situation with Hamer and Gyokeres far better than they have with Akpom. Moreover, we’ve replenished our squad and look better for the churn of players we’ve had. Great result today, 3-0 does flatter to...

    Hamer

We’ve got a nice pot of money to replace Hamer now. It’s a cause for excitement that we can go out and sign a few more players on permanent deals. Sad to see Hamer go, but deal represents good value so I have no real complaints.

    Transfer targets

Judging from what MR has said he’s looking for, it won’t be an ‘out and out’ striker but someone who can play as an AM/wider so we have a viable option for the box formation. Morgan Whittaker, annoyingly, would’ve been an ideal type of signing.

    Transfer targets

In theory, Godden makes a good backup option. In practice, he doesn’t really fit into our style of way. He doesn’t have the physical attributes to get impact the game and more worryingly, his confidence in front of goal seems to have taken a knock. In the right team, Godden could do really...
