Match Thread Wrexham AFC - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 31st Oct

Hopefully their match with Cardiff is a real feisty one. Loads of energy spent , a couple of injuries (minor tweaks will do I'm not a monster!)

    GKs

No rush, bar any weird loan breaks or recall we have him until the end of the season. He's been in good form but not flawless, the pen lunge Saturday was pretty naive. I'd take him 100% on perm but in Jan if budget is tight I'd rather direct that at adding to the squad depth to try and push for...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Yeah definitely something we should look at doing. Even if we have to alter the way we play if Grimes gets injured we don't really have defensive cover now Sheaf has gone

    Long throws

Might have imagined it but didn't KKH do one after he came on yesterday?

Impossible to get a like for like replacement, let alone someone willing to sit on the bench. We do need a more defensive/holding cover though

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Just a hunch but the amount of clubs he's failed to settle at might be a bit of a red flag character wise. I'm all for going big in Jan but we need the type of player that won't upset the harmony

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Yeah unless we completely drop off by Jan there isn't a realistic figure high enough to make us sell any of our valuable players. Look at the top Champ sales in their age brackets. We don't sell when we have this good of a chance to get promoted and access the Prem money.

    Liam Kitching

Liam Kitching's from Yorkshire, He wears an old flat cap, And if you throw a brick at him, He'll head the f*cker back, He heads it to the left, He heads it to the right, And when we win the Championship, We'll sing this song all night, Whoaaa....

Match Thread Coventry City - Watford FC Match Thread - Saturday 25th Oct

As alarming it is that Watford had so many chances we dealt with them well. When Bobby slipped Kitch covered, Rushworth is so positive closing angles. Obviously if we were playing someone better it may have been punished but I doubt we'd be so open in the first place

I'm assuming they picked Woolf on name alone for that

I get the hate for the Tesco bag shirt but we actually won something in that abomination so I can fully hate it. For me that JPT win was the turning point

Part of the squad again now. Exciting to have different options meaning we can genuinely go 'horses for courses' if needs be. Haji looked a bit jaded but more than that he'll know he needs to sharpen up as nobody is guaranteed a spot. Competition keeps people sharp look at how just having Woolf...

Match Thread Portsmouth FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 21st Oct

3 at the back is showing Pompey a lot of respect. Probably not a bad plan to be honest. Tricky fixture. Keep them quiet for an hour see where we are and send on the troops if needs be

    Next block of 5

Portsmouth could be a banana skin. They look a dangerous side this year and Fratton Park is not an easy place to play. Would love 3pts but a draw would be ok. Always seems to be an eventful match down there. Tricky run of fixtures 9-10 PTS would be a good return
