A few myths laid to bed last night.

Have you been to every single game ever since your first?

Off the bottom of the table

Sheffield United done well to get 38k in a 32k capacity Bramhall lane!

A few myths laid to bed last night.

I think most small clubs struggle to get coverage. The perception of bias comes from Gary Newbons time as sports editor on Central Tv. During that time Central basically become a Leicester propaganda channel.

    empty fookin seats !!!!

I suppose the important thing is it was a sell out, so no one can criticise the fans for not doing their part.

    The Ricoh Roar

Your right, I think last night would have been a great atmosphere with half the crowd. So it doesn't always correlate to the size of the crowd. I remember going to Leicester where there was a 26k silent crowd (despite them winning).

    The Ricoh Roar

Crewe and Chelsea the atmosphere seemed forced. Last night was a natural atmosphere.

A few myths laid to bed last night.

The Ricoh can generate an atmosphere as good as any ground in the country. "Part Time" fans don't turn up just to boo the players. The players are capable of performing in front of a big crowd. Anymore?

Lets try and keep it up

And three seasons ago we averaged 15k during (up until then) our worst ever season for 50 years. Did you think we would sell out last night?

    The Ricoh Roar

The noise generated as the players come out was amazing. I think last night has to be the best ever atmosphere at the Ricoh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SZIeH8Oj0A

seriously dangerous in block 15 tonight

All nice and well behaved in block 18. There were a couple of lads with beer, and the stewards come marching up. Now this is the only time I'll give praise to stewards as they handled it so well! Basically told the lads to down the bottles, then took the empties away! The steward then told them...

    empty fookin seats !!!!

I can understand empty seats in the away end and corporate areas, but the odd empty seats in the rest of the ground is very frustrating. Nothing to do with the police or HSE, just the basic fact that the club couldn't cope with demand. They need to apologise and but systems in place to ensure...

    Crowd vs Yeovil

Planning on going in the away end tonight? Read this....

Surely it will just be ccfc turnstyle staff? I doubt they were tested on their cultural and geographical knowledge of Kent before being given the job.

now it really has sold out....

You tell me. I'm just stating the legal position.

now it really has sold out....

Strange that no one can answer why 3000 seats are needed for Gills and segregation. Health and safety haven't the authority to tell the club what they can sell so that is a smokescreen.

    28,000 divided by 1,500 equals ?...

And how much were tickets for Sixfields? Remind us how much less you paid for your season ticket than the rest of us?
  17. bigfatronssba

now it really has sold out....

No just incompetence. The oft quoted "thousands of tickets will become available Friday morning " was all a lie.

    Last day to get tickets

It's pay on the gate for the gills so just turn up and join the party.

ticket sales to date for Gillingham

I know, but due to the layout of the ground you cant have Gillingham in block 8, and then city fans in 6 & 7.
