Loans aren't necessarily cheap as often the parent club demands a loan fee - which can be substantial - as well as requiring that some or all of the player's wages are covered.

I think there will be a press conference tomorrow morning, announcing that negotiations with Frank Lampard have collapsed and that George Boateng has been appointed head coach until the end of the season. 😊

As I think most of us thought earlier in the season, when we had to play Torp in a deeper role, he is much better when playing further up the field.

I like Bassette but if he doesn’t cut the diving out he will get a second yellow.

Slightly scruffy finish by Bassette but his awareness and positional play was good.

If we carry on defending like this I expect Lampard to hand in his resignation later today.
