Unforced errors are are things, we really need to cut it out. Must be a mentality thing?

Great football goals / moments from the past

I remember watching that. He was probably the best player in the world at that point (and probably the two years preceding), for me the pound for pound premier league greatest.

Great football goals / moments from the past

Sheerer used to score those weekly I swear! Pre his 7000 ACLs the bloke was rapid, at Southampton and Blackburn he was a joke. Ronaldoesq - the flashy stuff

Great football goals / moments from the past

Beautiful. You never see a player go around the GK anymore, must be a lost art. Don't even see it at my kids games.... Bring back the past!

    Match Thread Home game atmosphere

This. The football has become progressively more boring. The first two seasons after COVID was pretty good to watch (we also had loads of rousing comebacks early in the season) which generated a good atmosphere because we believed something could happen. Now we just sort of keep the ball for...

    Season over?

Here's to hoping, there is normally a team that flies up from obscurity. Fingers crossed it can be us!

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

Yea, could have moved the ball way faster, got it into the wide players early to give them a chance to actually get at their man

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

I think their defence is probably one off the best in the league. All their games seem to be 1 nils or low scoring draws.

    I don't think that's correct (6th best away record).

    What on earth happened?

The free kick is given where the offside player receives the ball apparently, it was explained in the Comms.

    Transfer Rumour Tamás Nikitscher

This applies to basically all our forwards across many, many games. This stretches back to last season, Wright and particularly Simms had made a run and could have been found with a relatively simple pass but weren't. I think we are getting the ball forward better now in patches, some really...

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

2 points away from home all season and 30+ goals conceded so far this season. A factually correct chant for a change!

Shitter. What's EMC out with, some sort of strain?

That free kick against Van Heeke encapsulates "the game has gone".

Especially someone like Rooney who is probably one of the most naturally gifted players this country has ever produced.

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

Odd refereeing display. Their 11 could have gone for two yellows way earlier in the game Same for one of their players who came on (Fawshaw maybe?) who blocked a quick free kick and was putting it about a bit and I think put in a few late heavy ones (may have been mistaken, how foggy was it).

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

Their determination to play out from the back started to annoy me by the end of the game, I couldn't grasp how Rooney or the players couldn't see that it was a tactic doomed to fail miserably which I think sums up Rooney as a manager. He is not tactically aware enough to keep a limited team up...

A lot of credit in the bank there, I don't think he'll be sacked anytime soon. That said, Manchester City could be in for a lean spell. That squad needs an overhaul basically from top to bottom.
