Simms played well and was a focal point for us which we don’t really have. He needed a big chance and didn’t get one. I thought Allen played well but think it’s a good game to play Eccles and Sheaf. Had COH not had a stormer, I’d have leaned towards a 4-3-3.

Agreed, more generally we’ve focused our attention on players who are versatile which has allowed us to re-jig the shape and personnel when the 3-4-1-2 wasn’t working. We do need wingers, but I think a front 3 of Wright, Simms & Sakamoto could be quite potent.
