I would nominate off the top of my head (since 83/84);
Everton (h) 84/85
QPR (h) 85/86
QF, SF, Final 86/87
LC Semis 89/90
Leeds (h) 95/96
WHL 96/97
Villa Park 00/01
Derby (h) 04/05
Give me strength. All that game showed was how far we had fallen when people started wanking themselves silly because we had a league cup game at Old Trafford. We used to play there every year when we had a team of substance.
Taking emotion out of the situation, here's what the bookies say;
Colchester 1/12
L Orient 1/8
Crawley 8/13
Notts County 4/5
Crewe 8/1
Us 8/1
Like others have said, a lot would have to go wrong for us to go down, and the bookies agree.
I am numb to it all now. Relegation from the PL felt like the end of the world.
It will feel like nothing close if we go down on Sunday. It already feels like the club is all but dead, drawing at mighty Crawley Town won't change that.
I'm not being funny but that's essentially a message to the players and how many could give a flying fuck if you buy a ST next season? Most of them won't even be here given the amount of player turnover we see at the club every season.
