Possibly, it really depends on how we end the season and how much optimism there is around the club. Another playoff final defeat? People will be gutted but season tickets will sell!

Yes I do and it’s what has been suggested to @Saddlebrains. If anything we could potentially sell more season tickets if the trial of Cov fans behind the goal

Exactly. So there’s no rush to get promoted this season. Looking at the league next season and the state of our team, there’s no reason why we couldn’t be pushing for automatics with 4-5 quality signings.

    Ellis is big dog now

He’s a player that’s been identified as someone who could one day be Prem quality. If he realises the £8m fee he’ll be well worth it. A lot of people need to realise that we’ve signed him on a 4 year contract and that’s a lot of time to develop someone. If after that period we lose money on...

I’m glad he’s anti-loan because we’ve put some serious money into build a squad of own players. However, there needs to be a pragmatism there and if we don’t make the playoffs, you’d think MR would raise these points to Doug. In any case, King’s expectations publicly is to be ‘in and around’...

    Next block of 5

We will finish in the top 6. We’ve got an ‘easier’ run in compared to the teams around us. We’ll manage with the injuries but we’ll probably run out of squad in the playoffs.

    Exciting times for all skyblues

Counting chickens before they’ve hatched. That game in hand against Plymouth is away, likewise, Hull’s game in hand is against Southampton away. Hoping 2 losses but my money would be on an Albion draw and Southampton win.

    Exciting times for all skyblues

We’re 1 point behind them now, a win against PNE and WBA would be massive. WBA have got Plymouth and Hull away before they play us so we could both be out of the playoffs by March 2nd.

Happened against Stoke too. I’ve noticed a few times that COH can slow play down and can choose relatively low risk passes. It’s a minor tweak unless he’s been told specifically not to make those passes.

That is nonsense. He’s made more public pronouncements praising his relationship with Doug. Robins is first and foremost, a pragmatist and states things as he sees it. Players are tired and he needs to deflect/manage expectations with the fans.

Probably not but he understands it’s an incremental process and he’s setting expectations with fans. The FA Cup was probably increased the annoyance because it’s 4-5 extra games (assuming we beat Maidstone). With the games coming thick and fast it’s v difficult to manage the players workload...

It was energetic which is what Robins was looking for in Sakamoto’s place. Without being harsh, the quality was lacking. Perhaps Tavares should start against Maidstone. I was in the camp that he shouldn’t but today’s performance has influenced my opinion.

We’ve got a lot of young players who might not be Prem quality right now, but will be in 1-2 seasons. If we get promoted we’ll end up signing players in positions who are definitely Prem calibre. Trust the process.

Personally, I’m really happy he’s been in the goals in the last few games! He’s seemingly turned a corner and hopefully he starts believing in himself.

Define disaster please? A draw would be an unideal result but not a disaster.

Overplaying it now and inviting pressure. Things look a little bit disjointed.

We thought we had a our man (EMC) on deadline day - Peterborough pulled out at the last minute. Not really much we could’ve done.

Starting Tavares is obviously not ideal but MVE and Sakamoto have had a lot of minutes and need a rest. To finish in the top 6 we need them on form against PNE, WBA and Watford.

Stoke would know - they spent £60m the year they came down to the Championship. They’re now fighting for survival. I got a brief history of the club this morning and another fan looking at us as a Premiership club to be from the outside.

I’m meeting an old uni mate who supports Stoke and I had a really nice breakfast in Hanley! No oatcakes, I went for something a little more bourgeois - Hideaway if anyone is after some good grub. 2 plates of pancakes for £15.
