Yes he had a very poor game.
Take nothing away from Shai Hope though, his knock was a masterclass in playing the situation. He is a true modern great of the ODI game
The plan was always to take a 2nd string ODI side. And they've likely given a few players time off post-WC, Malan being one as he has a 2 month old baby, hence why he's not in the T20 squad
I do feel sorry for Hain though, agreed.
At least he knows how we play. I’d far rather we had a top of the box midfield of COH/Allen/Palmer rotating, and use the strikers if not working. Ayari should go back to Brighton in January
McFadz header v Leicester
Wright v Boro
Van Ewijk free kick v Watford
Latibeaudiere header v Hull
Godden's 1st v Cardiff (2nd phase from a corner)
Simms 1st v QPR
Bobby Thomas looks very unconvincing to me as a Championship centre back for a side pushing for top 6. I don’t think he’s any better than McNally or Rose and certainly not Latibeaudiare.
First year I’ve ever had a ST, living in London it’s always hard to get up for games. Bought off the back of the brilliance of last season and the season before that.
It was basically a pointless exercise and I won’t be bothering again
Excellent thread. Interesting point he makes at the end about that game being one of the more passive presses Norwich have used under Wagner.
I often think (eye test only, zero stats to back it up) that we've struggled against teams with a high pressing intensity - often results in us rushing...
It costs like £500 for a private MRI scan, it's peanuts in the scheme of things
I get Kelly probably knows his body better than most in the squad but I find it absolutely bizarre he would turn down a scan
There was definitely a more concerted effort from Thomas and Binks in the Huddersfield game to drive forward with the ball from the back when space opened up, which it did in the 1st half as they didn’t bother pressing us
We have to be braver with the ball throughout the whole game though...
