I don’t disagree about Rushworth being a bit better but I don’t think there is much in it and I expect Dovin, being younger, to continue developing. I still think we can spend the money better elsewhere, which was really my point.

I can’t see Dovin being happy on the bench, especially as reserve goalkeepers rarely play. If Dovin comes back from injury as the player he was before then I’m happy with him as our first choice. I think the money could be better spent on strengthening other positions.
