Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Im with Shmmeee on this. The council are far from blameless but SISU opened the door with their actions. They tried to play hardball, wanting to pick up stadium for nothing/next to nothing and failed….got another chance now 😊

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

I agree. The deal structure could be say £20m now (pick figure to suit - they will probably want more) which covers value of players, golden share (if they can find it) etc and then an upside if promotion is achieved within X years. Maybe I’m forever the optimist, however, ever since Wasps were...

Wouldn’t be surprised if the party changed the rules or it was a stitch up result, so it doesn’t go to members. Think that happened when May won Agree though that any attempt to change leader again so soon would lead to justifiable calls for a GE. It’s just a shambles

American billionaire John McEvoy considers bid for club

Exactly. I think most would be happy to gamble on a new owner as long as they can demonstrate they’ve got a few quid (which they’d need if they were buying club and stadium). I’d take Ashley in charge any day over SISU for example.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Sometimes it’s just down to timing. In answer to Gynns question, this is probably at SISUs peak. Nobody would’ve offered SISU anything worthwhile at the time Wasps bought the stadium so they wouldn’t have sold. This time it might be different as we’re a championship club with players worth a few...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Putin probably had to show ‘strength’ after the bridge bombing. He’s getting desperate

I think it’s been a combination of factors. Even said to a mate it feels like maybe it’s just not our season. Ohare injury before we kick a ball, pitch, throwing game away at Millwall, hamer two reds in first 6-7 games etc etc. you couldn’t make it up really Fact is we’ve just got to deal with...

Im sure most are concerned but will probably reserve judgement until we’ve caught up our games/at World Cup break. Robins got it wrong tactically yesterday. Should’ve matched them in midfield and played just Vik up top from the start. Having said that, most teams would struggle having their two...

Good finish by their lad but should’ve had more pressure. On a positive note best half I’ve seen from Dabo in a long time. Quality !

Interesting that Robins has gone for Walker ahead of Waghorn. Reinforces what he was saying about Walker in training, maybe he’s stepped up a bit

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Thats what I’ve read and am concerned about. Tactical nukes. Hopefully another empty threat but lets be honest its sounding desperate for them so anything could happen

Think he was talking about changes to working practices not pay etc. Guessing they will probably need more weekend/out of hours working to compete with same day delivery firms

Not much so far but likely more in future due to recent budget

I’ve mentioned numerous times that profiteering (like petrol companies) should’ve been clamped down on I also didn’t see any need to reverse the corporation tax increases

I never said they are on the verge of going bust, just that if things continued, and the Uk postal service is/will continue to struggle, then ultimately it will be in trouble. No business goes bust solely because of workers demands but if a business is struggling/declining then significantly...

Two separate things though Clint. I was talking about inflation. I’ve already said there are plenty of issues with the government but inflation to date has been mainly caused by war/Covid and it’s it’s in a similar ballpark across Europe Truss/Kwasi’s mini budget could potentially make it even...

    Benn v Eubank Postponed

Gutted as had tickets. Fortunately had refundable hotels and hadnt bought train tickets due to the shambles on the railways at the moment. I always thought there was a risk of it not happening but that was because I thought Eubank might not make weight ! Right call to to cancel/postpone though...
