We have more than one player per position. If AT thought that his first choice wasn't trying, surely he could reasonably expect the less gifted second choice to give everything he's got. And it would serve as an example to all.

I think you are right about McPake, Wingy. I'm sure that on the pitch he will lead by example, and leave other players in no deoubt about his feelings if he thinks they are shirking their responsibilities. I hope he can get a long and uninterrupted run in the team.
