It certainly feels like a relegation season to me. It was right to shift players not up to the standard (Shipley, Jones and so on) but it's probably come at the cost of some team spirit and unity, and the squad looks paper thin and, arguably, unbalanced. Two games a week will ruin us.

The midfield just looks so weak. Gaps all over the shop. Part of it can be explained by a lack of match fitness and sharpness, but there are really worrying signs. It's almost like we're treading water until our talisman comes back.

I almost wonder if this selection was MR making a point to the owners / board.

I suppose, looking on the bright side, we've been fairly shit so far this season but haven't been battered yet. Get a couple of wins on the board and it'll all feel better.

He's a 6 out of 10 player almost every week, with the odd 5 and the odd 7. Not as dynamic as recent players in that position, which is possibly why some people don't like him.

Other than the first 15 minutes, we've been well in the game. Three sloppy goals to concede. Worrying.
