Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It doesn’t show a breakdown but I’m wondering how much of that is unpaid but included in payment plans over several future years. To be fair to HMRC, they were offering plans to businesses (and I bet individuals) over extended number of years due to covid and financial pressures caused by it. In...

or the last minute sale of Vik for £4m, with Max brought in to plug the gap until summer 😊

    Doug King Takeover

Great that it’s finally confirmed. The fire sale of Hyam followed by the lack of real interest in the ground suggested that SISU were done and we’d only be going one way without continued miracles. Let’s hope Kings better

I was gutted Lions didn’t get through though. Fun team to watch and reckon they’d have given 49ers more of a game Bills two kick off returns…wow !

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah, I wasn’t clear, I’m aware they are separate funding pots, which is crazy, they both need to be joined up but that’s a different discussion. What I meant is that if I was the nhs, knowing I had 10%-15% beds blocked by people who were medically fit to be released, I would’ve been saying to...

    Transfer Shouts

My two best mates are Wycombe fans and we’ve discussed this for a while (since I thought we were selling ohare in summer). Really kicked on this season. Looks a player but never know about step up ps Ainsworth mentioned 5m…no chance obviously but wonder if we’d have the cash if others are sniffing

Definitely. There’s so much money swilling round in it surely they could have an adequate retirement fund for young players retiring early through injury ?! Don’t the players/players unions have a decent say in the NFL ?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Agree about social care. Whoever made the call not to direct the additional funding to social care immediately was crazy (I blame government and NHS/PHE for this). If it’s true that 10% of beds are blocked by people who don’t need to be in hospital surely that’s a far quicker win than chucking...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Needs a cross party long term solution and for the country to recognise the nhs as was is gone unless we pay a lot more into the pot over our lifetimes and/or start looking after ourselves a lot better Ps Clint - Ponzi scheme might’ve sounded a bit of an OTT analogy but it was intentional. what...

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Two films I’ve seen recently worth catching Hell or high water - Jeff bridges and Chris pine. Modern day outlaw film. unfortunately likely to have to pay to watch on sky store etc. well worth it though. Can’t believe I’ve never come across it before The oak room - bit quirky, suspense film on...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I was agreeing that, historically at least, migrants are net contributors. I can’t comment on recent years pre and post pandemic as I’ve not seen any data. Unfortunately if they’re contributing more but we have more inactive working age people, then there probably isn’t the additional cash to...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Probably a significantly lesser proportion of migrants that don’t contribute compared to U.K. born and bred

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

About time as you say. Also, did I read that we limit the number going through medical school ?! There needs to be a proper long term plan around staffing of nhs and social care.

Have you seen how long it takes to build stuff in this country ?!

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I agree with what youre saying. My point was that even if the government spent the cash wisely (which they don’t) there’s always going to have to be a period of catch up on infrastructure and that’s not including throwing a pandemic in the mix. You can’t have a population the size of Cov popping...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I’m always a bit sceptical about net tax benefit stuff, especially when we’re around time of a pandemic where more people are needing things like doctors, hospitals etc and are probably unable working as much due to illness etc. It will depend on the tax take from migrants, over what period and...
