The scary thing is that despite how much better than us they were, they were one of the most feeble top-flight teams in history the season before. Some teams may have got fewer points, but have any offered so little resistance? They conceded over 100 goals. That's the disparity that exists now.

Has it? This year against the top three, we have been poor, but previous years ok. Last year 3 points v Leicester & 4 v Leeds. Only Ipswich got the better of us of the top three.

Come on, they were a lot better. It was very cagey until they scored, but after that, thier confidence grew and the looked dangerous and incisive whenever they had they ball. In contrast, we were mostly conservative and never looked like scoring, never getting in behind them. We played poorly...

You say, going over old ground. :) He was well protected, but also more or less faultless for the majority of that season. But the point is valid; this is not a solid formation, and only a very good goalkeeper would prosper in it.

This really winds me up, tbh. He grew up in a football club, and environment that contains lots of different people from different walks of life. It's natural that a young impressionable person would be influenced by the people around them that they look up to. I don't get the hate for O'Hare...

Yes, that's the thing, it was too easy. We weren't brave enough with the ball, left lots of space for them to play into, and offered the back four no protection. It was very poor.
