    2025 -26 season captain

I was certain it would be Grimes and that the only reason it wasn’t done straight away was to avoid rocking the boat. But after Sheaf being captain midweek I’m not so sure now.

Got ourselves in a great position here. When the wickets started tumbling earlier was a bit worried we'd come in and make a hash of it but they seem to have realised in the last couple of games that sometimes you have to play grown up cricket.

Think by the time you're trying to enforce 2 hour limits on apps you've lost the battle. Maybe start with working on not having parents view screens as substitute babysitters. Everywhere you go now there's surprisingly young kids with some sort of device in their hand staring at a screen.

Presume you're talking about the horrific targeting of refuges with people setting fire to homes and hotels. Not sure I'd really class that purely as properly damage, or direct action, to me you're in the area of attempted murder. Interestingly I've seen it reported that the police are...

Don't go looking for footage, its in the news. I like to try and keep on top of what is happening in the world, as I'm sure many people do. Not like I'm searching stuff out or going to weird and wonderful twitter and YouTube account. I think it resonates with a lot of people because Israel is...

How would it even work, per device, per app, per account? what if its a family ipad, does it lock up when Dad wants to check twitter if the kids have been on it for 2 hours? Been a long time since I worked on any projects that involved child protection but when I did one of the first things...

It always amazes me that every other event people seem to be able to work out how to use whatever ticketing system is in place but when it comes to football people seem mystified

Of the 7 tests next summer 4 are in London, thats crazy. One each for Birmingham, Leeds and Nottingham. Also no 5 match test series at all.

    Giving blood

You have to register an account on a fairly clunky blood donation website, which is separate to any login you already have for the NHS. You can then book an appointment either through the website or via an app, again a separate app to the NHS one. I think most sessions allow you to just turn up...

    Item 25/26 Coventry Kit

The shorts not matching the shirts is to do with how modern shirts are manufactured. The base for the shirts will be the same colour as the shorts but when the pattern is added it makes it look a different colour. Not sure we're going to get round that without having a plain blue shirt. Or start...

The excitement of next seasons international fixtures being released didn't last long. For the men its a Tuesday D/N ODI against India and a September test against Pakistan 🥶 Incredibly as that's not late enough in the year there's a Sri Lanka tour to England after the series against Pakistan...

What do people want from a service? We get a constant feed of stuff for free on social media, looking at some of the other clubs mentioned they paywall stuff we get for free so I'm not sure moving to a paid service for that will be a benefit. We used to do the same but a decision was taken to...

    Giving blood

Used to do it several times a year, basically every time they ran a session near me which I think was every 4 months. But they stopped running sessions near where I lived at the time so that was the end of that. Did look when I first moved here and the only ones near me were office hours only...

There's definitely no way kids will work out a way round this. In what world is kids having secret handsets and secret accounts that parents have no oversight over going to improve things?

Saw some horrific footage today of a father queueing for aid for his family just dropping down dead in the queue. I don't know how people can not be impacted by this kind of thing and just brush it off and move on with their day.

They did but the report I was referring to specifically stated the damage to the engine was cause by paint and paint alone and that would necessitate total replacement. Expect to see the Taliban in B&Q this weekend stocking up. We'd be fucked if there's every a war where there's some birds...

The £7m does seem very much pick a number and hope for the best. There's a reluctance to give any detail on how the figure was arrived at but it seems to include things like the cost of improving air base security to prevent similar future incidents. Not sure about anyone else but my feeling...
