Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah, my point is when you’re 20+ points up in polls, is there any need to. The key for me is who comes up with a credible short and long term growth/productivity plan. Without that we’re fucked and there’s no chance of anything more radical on the spending side….not sure either side have a...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There is no doubt starmer/Labour need to start getting their case and policies across to the public better but their smashing Tories in the polls and are obviously focussing on ‘you can trust us not to fuck things up’ on economy etc to attract swing or wavering voters. Id imagine once in power...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Whatever the end outcome surely this is just going to use up military focus, equipment and personnel…and will hopefully also lead to the brainwashed Russians to start questioning WTF is going on

The Portuguese love doing their business through the papers don’t they ?! If Vik did hold off and sign for sporting on a free (unlikely) surely they be in massive shit for all this tapping up/leaks to papers* *until we find it’s us doing the leaking 😂

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

They could’ve justifiably argued post pandemic they needed to break certain commitments/promises. I personally didn’t think they should’ve had that in their manifiesto, however, they bottled it after May fucked the previous election. At least she was honest with the electorate about the problem...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

We need more cash for social care as we’re living longer, ultimately this should probably come from either income tax or NI. I think NI gets capped in which case they should amend this. Nobody wants to make tough decisions anymore so we just constantly kick the can

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I could imagine the national uproar if he raised personal taxes in the middle of a cost of living crisis though ! Remember after NI was rightly increased to pay for social care. Agree with Duffer that the problem with rate rises is the lag. It’s not just aimed at mortgages though, it businesses...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Agreed. I previously thought Labour in a hung Parliament but with SNP unravelling and unlikely to be much improvement in economy/personal living standards in next 12months, I’d now be shocked if it wasn’t a Labour majority

Not in some kind of big propaganda play, but by leaking to various people that it’s the clubs fault and they need to do more, it doesn’t do the player/agent any harm. Better for them than saying ‘the club have put a brilliant offer on the table but my player wants crazy money to stay and we’ll...
