No it isn’t you making it political. But the idea that it’s just about individual choice is a political one. Society doesn’t work if everyone makes their own choice about everything.
We’re “forced” to do lots of things that are statistically safe which have a net benefit to society. This is no different. It’s just become a political weapon.
