    ALEXANDER STADIUM

It holds around 12,500 but is being increased to 40,000 for the Commonwealth games so it'll be a building site before long. The running track would make for crap sight lines for football.

    Stag Weekend

He was becoming an alcoholic and it was just too much hard work spending any time socialising with him as it would always involve him drinking 20 pints or more and making an arse of himself. I'm not a huge drinker, half a dozen will do me so I'd get an hour of conversation out of him before he...

    Stag Weekend

I've only ever been on one stag do, my own. We did Nottingham and that's always a great weekend away. Probably my favourite city in the UK. I fell out big style with the best man and have seen him maybe 3 times in 15 years, one being the big day itself of course. Happy days!

    Bury

After. The previous one spent money like it was going out of fashion and just after getting shot of Bury his empire collapsed owing many millions. He sold on to an acquaintance for £1 who specialises in liquidating businesses. I think I read he has liquidated 30 odd of them in the past.

Match Thread Bolton Wanderers vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 10th Aug

I have never seen Cov 2/13 to win a game of football. 13/10 for 4 or more goals looks like a steal. Surely? I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

    PPI Claim...........

I've never had PPI but 5 years or so back HSBC sent me a letter unprompted apologising for mis selling me a loan. They had forgotten to mention I could pay the whole lot off for no penalty at any time. They sent me a cheque for just over £1000 as compensation which was pretty much the interest...

    Thunder and Lightning Tonight

Missed out in Telford as per usual, it's split left to Shrewsbury and right to Wolves. I've got a decent vantage point so at least i've had a good view of the lightning in the distance!

    Things that annoy you

Unfortunately the wife loves cats. Over the years we've had some bad luck with regards to having children and it didn't look like we would get one so she ended up with 6 cats. The remaining 5 are now terrified, usually they are never more than a few yards away and we didn't see 3 this morning at...

    Things that annoy you

Staffie. I know they get a bad rep when looked after properly there isn't a softer dog. My grandparent had a couple and they were lovely. My neighbour was doing his garden and heard a commotion so stuck his head over the fence and noticed what was going on and jumped over to pull them apart. I...

    Things that annoy you

Police said they would send a dog team around to see if they can track it down. I've no idea who the owners are, it didn't have a collar but was in tip top shape so definitely belongs to someone. I did try RSPCA yesterday but the 3 or 4 numbers we called all had exceptionally high use and we...

    Things that annoy you

Yeah, called 101. Police were very good and pointed out that now it's definitely got the taste for blood then children are at danger. I just can't believe the force of the thing, absolutely brutal. Poor cat hung on for 10 minutes slowly dying from shock. I'm not really a cat person but it was...

    Things that annoy you

People who can't be arsed to look after their dog. One got into my back garden yesterday and killed my cat. It took my neighbour pulling at the dog and me kicking it in the face for it to let the cat go and even then it took a lot of hefty boots. I've never seen such brute force, if it had gone...

Don't think we've hit a 6 yet this innings? A couple of those would be good right about now.

    England cricket 2019

This has been a fantastic bowling display. Run rate now above 8 and the most we've got in one over so far is 9. This pair have done a fantastic job to keep us in the game but the attack really has to start now.

    England cricket 2019

If it was the other way round and NZ needed 90 odd with 6 wickets left I would make them favourites. As it is this is a really uncomfortable watch.
