Looks to be the lowest amount of testing in around 3 months which is odd. Yesterday's was also lower than usual. % wise the amount of positive cases seems similar to the past couple of weeks.

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

I've been watching Gotham recently. Just about at the end of season 3 and mostly enjoyable although it is starting to bore me. Supernatuaral was good for half a dozen seasons then went the same way. The Umbrealla Academy started slowly, season one was okay but I quite enjoyed season 2. Lucifer...

I think it's more a case of going back to weekend reporting not being particularly quick / accurate. During the lockdown weekend figures were quite often lower and then come Tuesday (which is actually Monday's figures) its shoots up. Very encouraging that hospital admissions have lowered over...

The last few posts have been refreshing to see. I had the misfortune of visiting my facebook feed earlier and the amount of COVID deniers is quite frankly astounding. It's going to take a long time to get things under control if so many people are so paranoid / moronic.

I go down my local shop every day and it's a busy place almost always. The amount in the shop stopped being monitored a couple of months back, social distancing does not happen and face mask use is probably 20% at most. Sometimes i'm the only one in there with one on. Staff don't have gloves...

I'm surprised that testing is picking up such a high proportion of cases if the 6000 figure is accurate. By the time you take off the asymptomatic cases (20 to 40% depending on which research you use), those who can't get a test who have it and those who think they probably have a cold and don't...

Looks like we're 5 weeks behind Spain, 4 weeks behind France. Spain announced 156 deaths yesterday and 239 today. Around 6 weeks back deaths were in single digits. French deaths are certainly going up but are still relatively small at the moment.

Ah well, I gave it 3 months but COVID has finished my business off. Just handed my notice in and am feeling strangely contented. The last few weeks in particular have been a nightmare but at least the worry of basically spending money putting off the inevitable is over. The wife works for me...

Then in which case we're buggered really. There's no hope testing will be able to cope with everyone who has a cough a month or so from now. Cases where people actually have COVID will not be discovered and it'll run rampant throughout the population.

Are the testing problems being mirrored across Europe? The UK has tested twice as many as France & Italy, 50% more than Germany too so how are we being so swamped? My facebook feed is full of people getting upset because they can't get a test and i'm in an area where we had 26 cases out of a...

    9/11

I was sat upstairs watching MTV2. Eventually I wandered off downstairs to find the rest of the family sat watching it on the news. I then watched the live aftermath until the very early hours in absolute disbelief. There's often 9/11 related shows on the various History TV channels and still now...

Are we beginning to lose control again, like France and Spain to name just two? Test and trace seems to be stuggling and the less they manage to trace the more cases are likely to go up. As cases go up they will have more contacts to trace which in turn could swamp the system and we'll be back...
