    Mark Robins (a Barnsley perspective)

No he wasn't, the fact he hasn't won a game with the best Wales team in years shows how bad he is

    robins barnsley formation at cov

The formation appears to be a wide 4-2-3-1, but for all we know his 18 or so months out of the game and his work with the premier league could of seen his style change, like Ian holloway

    robins barnsley formation at cov

Maybe not by the fans, but Robins isn't going to disregard them is he.

    robins barnsley formation at cov

Let's not judge him from playing under the Thorn/Shaw regime, as Mark Robins said they have been given a clean slate

This is what I am saying Thorn's win ratio is awful hence why he got sacked, but the football under him was better than hoofroyd, coleman or dowie:facepalm:

Yes, that first half of the season was amazing, but it was just hoofball and when Thorn came in at the end of that season, the football was sooo much better, heck he even got belly playing well for about 10 games

    Mark Robins (a Barnsley perspective)

I have nothing against you and am thankful for your input, but for me we were a goalscorer away from staying up e.g Marlon King who left from Brum in the summer. So when I see your top goalscorer leaving and then your form dipping awfully I suppose it is just too much of a coincidence.

I'll admit that in parts it was awful especially this year, but it was so much better than the boring 442 football we got from booth, Coleman and dowie. The inability to keep a lead in the end killed of thorn

You should pay more attention to win ratio, despite thorny playing the some of the best football we had seen in recent years, he left with the worst win ratio of any manager. Football in the end is about winning, as thorny found out after three games this season

    Mark Robins (a Barnsley perspective)

What your just confirming to me is that, the period when Vaz Te was banging them in for fun was what kept you up. Let's face if we had of had Vaz Te last year we would of stayed up. Despite the home game being a load of crap, we were still the better team by a mile, Im pretty sure you didn't...

    Mark Robins (a Barnsley perspective)

No offence mate but without Vaz Te's goals you would have gone down instead of us or donny, when we beat you at home you were the worst team I'd seen all season and it also says a lot that Clive Platt got the winner.

    Has the remit changed?

Let's face no one is going to run away with this division, Tranmere like Yeovil will have their bubble burst very soon. The majority of teams in this league are very average, hence the strength of the championship, every team apart from peterborough have a chance of the play offs

I liked him on sky and now on Talksport, but I've always had an underlying feeling that he is a dickhead away from broadcasting
  17. LJC_CCFC

    Has the remit changed?

Technically you can win the league and still lose about 12 to 13 games, so technically we can still get promoted and I would think that this is Robins remit guaranteeing he gets these loan players that may be available. Saying that if we don't go up Robins won't get sacked, as it would just be...

First thing the new manager should do...

Exactly it is the same situation as Stephen Wright when Coleman gave him the armband. Just because he had it Coleman felt he had to play him even though he was crap

First thing the new manager should do...

Tbf i was being sarcastic if anything what Shaw did was worse than how Thorn played him on the left of the diamond. Shaw in his infinite wisdom played him as a winger in a 4-4-2

    Feck off Kevin Kilbane

He represents everything that has been wrong with the team so far this season, overpaid, not caring one ounce for the club and whatever experience he is supposed to have it clearly isn't rubbing off on the players. Tbh can we be surprised as while at everton (in his prime) he was regarded as the...
