I'm slightly suspicious of the Dresden outbreak too. As the team bottom of Bundesliga 2, they are probably hoping for a no relegation scenario, so putting a spanner in the works of restarting appears to work to their favour.

I think you have misread, doesn't read to me like he is advocating cancelling the season, but saying why cancel the season if you don't know when you can restart.

The 22 game midpoint one, where they take the 1st match played against each team, has us 4th or 5th. It seems ridiculous to me but it has been put out there, and will probably be pushed by those teams it suits.

I thought the EFL included Championship, League 1 and League 2. Surely any vote to 'abandon' the season should involve all members, not just a separate vote for League 1 and League 2 clubs.
