    Next 12 games

I get it when its at the end of the season and you're looking at the last half dozen or so fixtures, but there really is no point at looking ahead of ourselves right now when we really have little idea of what lies in store forus or the majority of the teams in this league.

    Next 12 games

We've played 4 games. What's the point looking 12 games ahead? I hate this kind of thread, because if its on the back of a loss its all doom and gloom, while if its on the back of a win then we will win them all, everything is knee jerk. Look at the pre match predictions before the Bournemouth...

    Hamer

Hamer has now set himself up as a target for all the opposition WUM's. Other teams will have watched last night and he needs to wisen up quickly, otherwise it won't be long before he will be getting sent off again. Aggression is obviously part of his game, and one of the reasons MR signed him...

    Wembley goals

Had to look it up to be sure but Ray Pointer scored for England at Wembley. Had less luck trying to find scorers from the England schoolboy matches played at Wembley in the 1970's. I know Terry Gibson played in one of the matches but can't find if he scored.

    West End.

Apart from that Bonfire night match against Bradford. I don't think I've ever been so depressed to be at a football match as that night!!

    Little bits of history.

Another 'last' is the last Midlands club to win the FA Cup - always pleased when they all get knocked out!

    Forgotten Trialists and Signings

If its the same guy I remember him making a fantastic run and cross which would have been a gimme to any self respecting centre forward, only for Kevin Kyle to be on his heels at the edge of the penalty area. I'm pretty sure it was Fadiga, and I can still picture his exasperated look of...

if there was a fully fit team

There doesn't seem to be a set in stone first XI from what I can see, which is good as it helps prevent complacency. I get the felling that where the competition for places is stiffest that the person holding the shirt will keep it unless they underperform or get injured. Marosi, Dabo, Hamer...

    No bottomless pit

It seems a fairly obvious sales gimmick at the moment, but are the club selling CCFC face masks?

    Hamer vs Walsh

Hamer looks good, but this is typically knee jerk of the OP. If we were to sign Walsh, guaranteed that he would immediately be calling him the greatest again. If Hamer has an off day, or more likely gets himself sent off and costs us a game, first one to come on here calling him out will be the OP.

    Few things to note

You need to go and read a few of the match threads when he first joined and stepped in for the injured Kelly. There were plenty on here who thought he wasn't up to it and that he was defensively suspect. Walsh significantly stepped his game up once Kelly came back in the team, and the rest is...

    The Walsh Talk

I completely disagree, the squad was nowhere near good enough. We had only finished 18th the previous season when we had players like Westwood, Turner, Gunnarsson and King at our disposal. The sum of their replacements were Joe Murphy and Chris Dunn. Then in the January window Jutkiewicz was...

    Mcfadzean

I think we are blessed with good defenders who each bring something to the party and complement each other. I don't find it that easy to rank them in order. McFadzean certainly brings experience and leadership to the team as one of his strengths and will be the first defender named on the team...

    Barnsley Player Ratings

    Other than set pieces we never threatened, which was disappointing, The front 3 struggled and nothing really worked for them. No faulting their effort - it just wasn't their day. Marosi - 6 Dabo - 6 Ostigaard - 7 McFadzean - 7 Hyam -7 Giles - 7 Sheaf - 6 Hamer - 7 Allen - 5 O'Hare - 5 Godden - 5

    Match Thread Barnsley Match Thread

The stats from their Chelsea game show they had 14 shots with 9 on target, which tends to back up the Barnsley fans statements about them creating loads but not scoring. While that should be a positive for us, there will undoubtedly be some game somewhere that it does click for them, so just...

I haven't seen a proper analysis of the results of BCD games but my impression is that there has been a significant decrease in home wins from before BCD started. If so, I think bookies have been a bit slow in adapting their odds to that situation, and which therefore leads to potentially much...

    Andy Holt

Absolutely. People are more likely to obtain and pay for the streams lawfully if they think the income is going to the club they support.
