This is where its a grey area. Telling a joke to your mates about Diana is one thing. Displaying a banner publicly mocking a death so that thousands of others can see it, it's totally different.

Whether you like it or not, breach of the peace is an arrestable offence. I'm pretty sure pissing off thousands of folk with an offensive banner mocking the accidental death of someone, can be classed as breach of the peace.

Yes they should. If people get away with what I'll term 'cuntish' behaviour, they'll continue to be absolute bellends in society. It's a race to the bottom for people like that. It's just not good for anyone, not healthy and certainly not funny.
